I lived with a flatmate that used to pull this sort of shit.
Typical process:
She would remove the frozen chicken from the fridge, put it on the outdoor table, then go to class. Would come home to a defrosted chicken, which she would take and chop in half on the kitchen floor. Then she would put one half back in the freezer, usually on top. Lovely going to get ice to find it's covered in frozen defrosted chicken blood. She would then use the other half to cook up a soup in our one big pot we had. This pot would live on the back corner of the stove for a week. Or two. Each day she would take a ladle full and warm it up to eat. The big pot wasn't kept warm or in the fridge.
I got to the point where as soon as we saw the mould growing out of the pot, we would biff the entire contents and water blast the pot outside. Much to her annoyance.
She would then just repeat again the next week.
Legit tempted to learn German because the meme pool is so dam high
And the moderators have beards. Women too
Another excellent example of this working is Factorio.
The original game doesn't cost a fortune, it's made by a small extremely dedicated team. They polished it so hard the shine made everything else look like vanta black. Playing Factorio ruins other games because the depth and quality of everything else is so poor in comparison.
The game came out in like 2013 early access. Full release completed in 2020. A decade after initial launch, they are going to offer a DLC, that will cost money.
Absolutely happy to pay for a DLC for that perfection.
Respect.
The OG one from a few days ago
Not every big company does this.
I work for a fortune 500. We had a "the customers are not going to be pleased" change get pushed to us, and a lot of internal backlash/pushback prevented it from happening.
A competitor then did the thing we stopped, and got reamed by the public hard enough to set the standard of "your a dumbass if you even think about this".
Tesla FSD... Coming ~~2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023,~~ 2024

For bonus anger.
Amazon pays Toyota about $1 per vehicle that Alexa is installed on.
So you made Toyota an extra dollar for your pain.
I know someone who gave CPR on someone bitten by one of these.
They lived because of the CPR. They came out of hospital fine, except they were now blind because their eyes were open staring up at the hot summer Aussie sun for the entire time they were getting CPR etc.
The bite actually doesn't kill you, it just shuts down your nervous system so you can't breath.
People if given cpr immediately (kind of need someone to know it's what bit you) till it wears off / get on a ventilator will live.
I remember reading about someone who survived. They got but, and a team started doing cpr. The only issue was his eyes were open the entire time on a hot sunny day. So he was blind after the damage the hot sun did.
