fair point.. but unfortunately many communities i follow are only on reddit.. the alternatives are just not big enough also.. i think this monopoly can only be broken with government funding.. i can't think of any other solution

Yeah it makes sense now. I think the reason for the ban is that they want people to circle jerk on their own platform. So they don't want links to outside domains, which is what my subreddit did.

It was just a simple place where people could post their own open source projects.. but apparently Reddit hates Open Source
