We Millennials were born in a sweet spot where PCs were widespread enough to be virtually in every house since childhood but also not too streamlined and simplified.

We had a pc that sometimes didn't work properly, we had to use the command line from time to time, troubleshoot and look up errors. When something fails we try to find out why and only after a while we give up and claim it's an error or look for help.

Also you know, stupid people are in every generation.

Tbh the fact that they were even ABLE to push something like that without anyone noticing is a red flag for the work environment and workflow.

I think that was the right approach, then again didn't you have through a pull request or at least a code review? Knowing that would give raise to so many "errors" you should have had some sort of communication beforehand.

I don't blame you, more the workflow and ironically the manager

Mostly by generational trauma but some get by with fresh trauma

That doesn't feel like a good argument, there are many reasons why a government descends into any of those, for one the CIA is known to disrupt any socialist/communist attempt at government and that can and did cause brutalism.

I mean if any attempt to give an alternative to the suffocating order of power is going to have to survive against the pressure of such power of course the only "successful" ones will have traits of authoritarism and strict even violent control of power itself.

Now don't misunderstand me I'm not saying that authoritarism is good or even that communism would certainly be able to lead to a better rule, I'm arguing that we don't know that because there are many other factors that can lead to the failures of a system.

Also really a blanket statement followed by generic stereotypes meant to undermine any other opinion will not lead to any intelligent discussion and betterment of any of the sides, we can do so much better.

I mean not really, he knows he'll always have a roof over his head, food on his table, doctors when he's ill, it is a rather big deal but that doesn't really affect his daily life in any significant way.

He'll still be able to afford anything he may ever want, what he really lost is financial power and social respect.

In short I think it's more like a bored housewife getting thrown out from the homeowners association.
