fellas, is it ok to ask for accountability from a politician and point out issues with them while still voting for them? I really hate this rhetoric of "life is messy and no one's perfect." true, but no one expects a perfect candidate, they want a candidate who actually listens to the people. rhetoric like this just shields politicians from actual, constructive criticism.

lol this is immediately what I thought of haha

there's something in computer networking called Cisco discovery protocol and I used to teach new interns about it by making them find every Cisco access point we had in the building.

I wish we didn't feel the need to celebrate this. loving your child and fighting for them seems like the bare minimum. I get the bar is in the basement, but it feels similar to the pick me men who think they should be put on a pedestal for simply not sexually harassing women.

you can absolutely do it yourself. be prepared and get the right tools, look up many many guides and videos before you start, but I honestly think it's doable for someone whose never opened a phone. those batteries are an absolute pain in the ass to remove, but as long as it's discharged below 20% you really don't have to worry about it it catching fire or anything catastrophic like you're lead to believe (just be careful ofc and wear PPE)

as a technician myself, I hate this. I truly don't understand why any tech would ever do any snooping. I fix dozens of devices a day, I need the password so I can test the new part and make sure everything is working as it should be after the repair. I'm far to busy and apathetic to give a shit what people have on their devices.

side note, for those of y'all with Samsung phones, there's a maintenance mode that will allow the tech to test everything after the repair but not access any data on your device.

a few of my faves are:

titanic syncing

silence of the lans

fbi surveillance prius

I don't know much about the performance of the a770 so I don't really know if that's right, but I wouldn't trust userbenchmark at all. they favor Nvidia massively and their ratings are super inaccurate. here's an article on some of it: https://www.gizmosphere.org/stop-using-userbenchmark/
