Run two and check the logs. You'll see about 20% of your requests will log on the second instance. So currently, that's 20% of your DNS requests not being filtered.

You'll also find some devices just latch on the the second and never use the first - again, in your scenario, these are not being filtered.

DietPi is the perfect OS with easy install software for Pis of all flavours.

That's not how the two entries for DNS works. Devices will use both rather randomly, and therefore some requests will not be filtered.

The best way is to run two instances for redundancy.

I tried to sign up with a gmx email address - but the email never came through. I checked All Mail, Spam, etc. It's definitely not there. Signed up again using a gmail.com one, and email came through immediately. Just waiting for that account to be verified by Tom and I'll stop using this one...

Maybe have a look at Win11 Launcher. I reckon it'll get the aesthetic you're looking for.

Comments are ok, but I think if kbin has microblog posts from Mastodon, they don't appear in Lemmy. I'm in two minds as to which interface I prefer - nows really the time to pick one before I subscribe to too many things! :)

You can take the community and server name and format it like this: https://lemmy.world/c/TheyDidTheMath@kbin.social

But kbin is more than just posts - it also federates Mastadon which I don't think Lemmy can process (so you won't see those).

(I'm still working all this out myself -- in fact, this is my first ever comment!)
