Do the facts even matter to the average kiwi let alone to the average NACT voter? I don't think so. They are fighting a culture war it's all about the feelings to them.

It would be better if it cost less but I guess it's a chicken and egg problem. If more people joined they could probably lower the price a bit. If they drop it to $5 and not get three times as many subscribers they will be losing revenue.

I pay them. It's worth is in my opinion. Somebody has to pay their salaries and they are the only group that routinely sticks up for consumers.

I like how passive the phrasing is here. They talk as if the lobbying efforts were futile and a waste of money instead of being wildly successful bribes which helped protect their profits.

I don't think this government will do anything that might hinder profits or help the consumer.

Well better this than some ferries we can all use I guess.
