Hi, I’m Bijhan Agha, a trans Muslim comics creator, and I’m writing to share my journey with you. My husband RaeRae, who is trans and Jewish, and I are working hard to create a stable future through storytelling, starting with our comic, Legendary X-Knights.

Life has been difficult for us. We both live with disabilities—I'm autistic and live with chronic anxiety and depression, while RaeRae has fibromyalgia and chronic inflammation. On top of that, we live with food insecurity here in South America, where rising inflation has made basic necessities harder to afford.

This project is more than just a comic; it’s a way for us to build a future. We’re pouring everything we have into this dream because we believe in the power of stories to uplift, connect, and inspire. With your help, we can make this dream sustainable and create work that resonates with people around the world.

If you’re able to support, backing the Kickstarter will help us keep going, build a career as creators, and create something meaningful in the process. Every pledge, no matter the amount, makes a huge difference to us.

Check out the Kickstarter here. Thank you for believing in us and for helping us work toward a better future.

Hi, my name is Bijhan Agha, and I’m a trans autistic comics creator. My husband RaeRae and I have been working tirelessly to bring Legendary X-Knights to life, but the truth is, this isn’t just about creating a comic—it’s about survival for us.

RaeRae and I both live with chronic illnesses. I’m autistic, and we both deal with depression, anxiety, and chronic inflammation. RaeRae also has fibromyalgia, which makes daily life a constant challenge. On top of that, we’re living with food insecurity in South America, where rising inflation has made even basic necessities harder to afford.

Despite everything, we’ve poured all our energy and love into this comic. Legendary X-Knights is a story about finding strength in community and overcoming impossible odds, which feels very real to us right now. It’s a story about three strangers—Lilly, Rocky, and DeShaun—coming together to fight for something bigger than themselves. It’s full of heart, joy, and the kind of hope we need more of in the world.

We need your help to make this happen. Backing the Kickstarter isn’t just supporting a cool comic—it’s helping two disabled artists keep going, keep creating, and keep putting something positive out into the world. And in return, you’ll get a story that celebrates resilience, connection, and the power of coming together.

Check out the Kickstarter here. Thank you for believing in us and for supporting a project that means so much.

Hi, I’m Bijhan Agha, a trans Muslim comics creator, and I want to share a piece of work that represents so much of who I am: Legendary X-Knights. This comic was created by an interfaith team—myself as the author, my husband RaeRae (a Jewish editor), and our illustrator Swaptrap, who is Indian and Hindu. Together, we’ve built a story that celebrates resilience, solidarity, and the power of standing together.

For RaeRae and me, this project is deeply personal. We’re both multiply disabled and live with the daily challenges that come with it. On top of that, we struggle with food insecurity, something we know many people are facing in a time when inflation is making basic necessities harder and harder to afford. Writing this comic has been more than creative work—it’s been a way to find purpose and hope in tough times.

Legendary X-Knights is a story about three strangers, chosen by magical crystals, who unite to fight forces that seek to dominate and divide. It’s a story of transformation, community, and the strength we find in working together to create change. For us, this comic reflects the ideals of mutual aid: the belief that we’re stronger when we lift one another up.

If you’re able, I’d love for you to check out our Kickstarter and help bring this story to life. Your support means more than words can say. Thank you for being part of a world where people care for one another.

Me llamo Bijhan Agha.

Hi, I’m Bijhan Agha, a trans Muslim comics creator, and I wanted to share something deeply personal with you: my new comic, Legendary X-Knights. This is a story about resistance, solidarity, and embracing the parts of ourselves that the world tries to diminish. It’s a story about fighting back.

The plot centers on three strangers who are chosen by mysterious crystals and cryptic messages from the future. They gain elemental powers—fire, water, and magnetism—and are forced to come together to fight Vampires. But these Vampires aren’t just monsters; they’re a stand-in for the systems that thrive on control, fear, and exploitation. The X-Knights don’t just battle; they resist. They rise up against the forces that divide us and fight for something better.

Rocky Anoa’i is one of the X-Knights. He’s a trans Samoan prince, aro/ace, and someone whose strength lies in his humor and calm resilience. His water powers reflect his ability to adapt and endure. Then there’s DeShaun Oliver, a bisexual, nonbinary Black martial artist who wields magnetic energy. They’re all about precision, charisma, and keeping the team grounded. Finally, there’s Lilly McGann, a cis lesbian ex-Air Force Major who’s trans-inclusive in every way. Her fiery determination and sharp leadership make her the team’s anchor, even as she struggles with vulnerability.

For me, this story isn’t just about superheroes. It’s about us. It’s about the ways trans and bi people navigate a world that so often tries to crush us. It’s about finding power in who we are, standing together, and refusing to back down.

I also want to do something more with this comic. Through the Kickstarter, we’re offering a discounted add-on to donate comics to U.S. prisoners through LGBT Books to Prisoners. So many incarcerated people have asked for queer literature, and this is a way to get them stories that reflect their identities and struggles.

If this resonates with you, I’d love for you to check it out and support it if you can. Thank you for being part of this journey with me.

I don't understand why I would call a Somoan prince Sam Owen. I don't know who Sam Owen is. Also, I named him after Rocky Johnson, Dwayne's father, who married into the Anoa'i family. I respect Rocky, I'm a big fan. I don't care much for Dwayne.

EDIT: There's another layer to him being named Rocky, and that's that in Power Rangers Zeo, Rocky was the Blue Ranger.

My name is Bijhan Agha. I'm 10 years into my social transition, and 3 months into my hormonal transition. I reverted to Islam during my transition, having been raised Muslim by my grandmother. I was born with deformed feet which required surgical intervention, meaning I cannot spend long amounts of time on my feet. I also have depression, anxiety, and I'm autistic.

My partner, RaeRae, has been out as nonbinary since before we met. They're culturally but not religiously Jewish. They were born with many health problems, including the lungs, nervous system, and digestive system. They were also in a car accident in their youth which severely damaged their left shoulder and incited fibromyalgia as the nerve endings did not heal correctly. As a result of the drugs they need to be on to function, they spend most of the day sleeping and rarely feel well enough to leave the house.

We are living with food insecurity. Without the generosity of strangers, we wouldn't eat. We're hoping that by making comics, we can build a career together which will keep us fed and clothed.

I wrote and RaeRae edited scripts for comic books about queer superheroes, who are not white, in a universe full of time travel and Vampires. We call the universe Time Wars, and our first comic was Kobra Olympus, about a multiracial vigilante in modern Seattle using tech to battle literal monsters. Now we've created a new comic book about three strangers who are brought together by cryptic messages from the future to gain elemental powers and armored forms to battle an evil conspiracy.

Time Wars: the Adventures of the Legendary X-Knights is on Kickstarter now. Every dollar brings us closer to our next meal. And I think you'll genuinely enjoy the art and story.

The Vampires rule the shadows, manipulating systems of power to control the world. But three strangers—each chosen by mysterious crystals—stand in their way, fighting back with elemental powers and defiant hope.

Lilly McGann AKA the Red Dragon: A mixed race lesbian ex-Air Force Colonel who wields fire and fights for justice with relentless determination.

Rocky Anoa’i AKA the Blue SeaSerpent: A trans Samoan prince and former longboarder who wields the unstoppable force of water. His humor and courage hold the team together.

DeShaun Oliver AKA the Pink Unicorn: A Black nonbinary martial artist with magnetic powers who channels their strength to protect and inspire.

Together, they form the Legendary X-Knights, heroes drawn into a time-spanning war against Vampires, who represent oppression and systemic control. This isn’t just a fight for survival—it’s a battle for liberation.

For trans and queer readers, this story is more than a comic. It’s a rallying cry. At a time when our rights and existence are under attack, supporting queer art is resistance. The X-Knights embody the strength and solidarity we need now more than ever.
