Anyone have experience with this MagicMirror module? I can't get it to talk to HomeAssistant. I realize this may be something to post on MM which I have, just trying both paths as the thread I found was 2 years since the last post.

The biggest hurdle that needs to be overcome in my own eyes is how we source the precious metals for the batteries. Look up Lithium and Cobalt mines in Africa. Of course this applies to all lithium batteries (phones and cars being the biggest players).

I was 75% that... I was just dumb and my parents heard the sink running at the same time and opened the door and confronted me lol.

All,

I've never built a PC before but I've don'e a lot of research. Even so I'm sure there's something I'm missing... Please see my Amazon list below and provide any feedback or opinions. Thank you

HA has gotten a lot better in the last year if you haven't used it in a while. I honestly don't feel it's cumbersome. Gone are the days of needing to use YAML code.

What if you made a pin switch in combination with the magnetic switch? Any magnet should work, the magnet from the magnet switch can be replaced with any magnet. Maybe you need a stronger one is all?

Looks like Shelly. If so, if you set up home assistant and get Shelly added do you get all the features you want? I would think so.

I made a solar powered wifi enabled weather station and moisture meter for my garden. The first attempt was my only and it lasted a couple weeks before I noticed the ants liked the heat of the electronics, created a little farm around the box sitting on the ground and then my wife became unhappy about it.

That said I will eventually make another that is elevated from the ground, just haven't gotten to it yet.

Sync was only released within the last week to the public, it's going to take a little more time to finish working out the bugs. I am excited for sync because it was my preferred Reddit app and I'm hopeful it'll be as good here. As for the ads... I use adguard dns and I haven't seen any ads yet... Hopefully that continues. I agree $20 is steep but I thought I read somewhere that was one time payment. Someone else will have to confirm.

Hopefully to generate more traffic to this community, it would be very helpful to those looking for mechanic advice.

Don't worry everyone, I'm just an idiot. One would think the ground clamp would go on - but it actually goes on +. You all know that I'm sure but for some machines it's electric positive and others electrode negative. Regardless they even color code it and show you in the manual which I also read a few times. Finally got it though. Maybe this helps someone else.

I just received this welded for small tasks around the house. First attempts to weld anything and it is not striking an arc to anything no matter how clean or what material. Finally I tried a quick trigger pull right to the copper on the ground clamp and nothing happened.

Where do I start my troubleshooting or do I just send it back?

Thanks

Try going to a different culver's? That won't fix the price, but all fast food is expensive now days. Literally just there last night and the custard was perfect.

This is my first post on Lemmy!

I don't know much about a lot of this but what caught my eye was the first sentence saying "Diesel additive" when you're really talking about Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF). DEF is not added to diesel fuel in vehicles but is burned in the exhaust process to reduce particulate matter.

Good luck with your experiment!
