If Zohran was even half the man that Betar seems to think he is, he would order the NYPD to begin arresting Betar members en masse.
More political conflicts should be solved like this.
Also, why the fuck are they arguing whether or not the PM is circumcised (I've read the article, and I understand that it's supposed to be derogatory towards the PM, but still)?
Legit one of the funniest things I've ever heard. Even now I randomly remember it and chuckle to myself like a maniac
NYC is heavily democrat, but they used to love electing republican mayors, particularly if the suburbanites get scared about "crime" or terrorism. Remember that they had both Rudy Gulliani (back when his brain kind of worked) and Mike Bloomberg (back when he was a republican) within the past couple of decades.
I thought that NYC only had ranked choice for primaries? And the actual election was just "guy who has the most votes"
Came across a tweet of a guy saying that he talked to a guy in Israel who was really enjoying the current state of things. His argument was that he would take his family out to eat every night/evening, and when an iranian strike was imminent, and the sirens would go off, he could legally run from the table without paying the bill.
Don't care if this story is true or not, it made me chuckle.
Isn't it a bad sign that the young-guy-candidate is only ahead of the boomer candidate by 4% the day before the election, since the early voting would presumably benefit Zohran Mamdani more than it would Governor R-word?
Quite a lot of childcare places have May 1st as a holiday, which means that it's more like an unofficial holiday, especially among white collar workers who just "work from home" (like I did at my previous job) while they spend time with their kids, whom they can't drop off anywhere, because most places are closed.
Did I ever mention that I fucking love how childcare in Denmark is structured?
Calling a born and bred WASP fuck like Harry Truman a pansy ass jew has got to be the funniest way to get fired in the 1950s.
The Baltics managed to achieve a high GDP per capita in a less direct way than the Gulf slaver states. If you just don't count poor people, then your GDP per capita is going to enormous. In case of the Baltics, those too poor to benefit the stats just happened to leave the millisecond they had the chance to.
Yeah that part stood out to me as well, since the Dutch have fucking hated Rutte for being a useless centrist blob-figure for a while, so why does it surprise them when he acts like a spineless wimp?
