I seem to recall a WTYP episode about the Train Maya, where the mexican guest-host talked about the Mexican Army having quite a lot of influence on Mexican politics, and that AMLO was kind of afraid of potentially getting couped by the army, which was why his reforms couldn't fundamentally touch the main points of corruption/sidedealing within the army. Some of that might have been cope that AMLO wasn't as radical as some people hoped for, but it was probably also true to an extent, particularly given that previous links between the Mexican army and the US.

Isn't WhitePeopleTwitter the headquarters of the Brunch-liberals? I remember blocking that sub during the first trump admin because half of it was Jeff Tiedrich clapbacks, and all the comments would just be puns / songlyrics / Reddit-injokes that stopped being funny in 2013.

Also, wasn't Koba a georgian folk-character? Like it's a name that was associated with Georgia, so at most not knowing his lastname would have gotten "Ioseb from Georgia" in trouble.

well, first of all they basically immediately began plundering their entire continent. Then they stole a bunch of patented designs from the British, while being as far away from the british as possible, which allowed them to benefit from the industrial revolution with almost no reason to pay money to britain. Then, after industrializing, they turned themselves into the world's premiere factory, producing almost every kind of good, and being supplied by quasi-slave labour in every country south of Texas, as these countries were not being protected by a country that could have been a peer to the US. Then they took in a lot of europeans fleeing war and persecution, while said wars and persecutions were destroying the productive capacity of the rest of Europe (and after Europe had already destroyed most of the rest of the world's). Cut to 1945 and the advent of the Nuke, and now the US was holding the entire planet hostage.

I think the current theory on this site is "Trump thinks a Tariff is when you, as the US, instead of paying an invoice and wiring the money to your supplier outside the US, you just declare the payment a tariff, and then you confiscate the money from the supplier, who in this case continues to supply you for whatever reason."

It will also cost a hell of a lot of global oil production, given that Iran has explicitly threatened Saudi Arabia's oil and water production facilities. And the Saudis are the most fucking treat-addled people in the world.

Was gonna make a joke that this proves the Nazi's wrong, as this is the single whitest thing I've ever come across. But apparently the people who run this cult are just israelis, and their founder was apparently a kurdish jew.

Though extremely funny that this cult that keeps being moved around the world whenever they get in trouble with the authorities seemingly only speaks english and hebrew.

Trump straight up killed a lot of them through his non-handling of Covid, and when being confronted with their own idiocy they doubled down and started taking horse medication and shitting out their intestinal lining. I genuinely don't think there is anything that can divorce those people from their fixation on Trump personally.

I have no idea about AIC, as it was not covered by the one Gladio book I could find that had anything about Denmark. It sounds like it would be right up the removed' alley though.

Any comment of yours that doesn't include a graph sometimes feel like an ideology test. If I can see a picture has been attached, then I usually know to take you seriously.

Actual communist have been forced out since like 1940 when the Germans invaded and immediately began hunting them. After the war, when socialism was at its most popular in Denmark, a bunch of our leaders began purging the unions of anyone with suspected leftist sympathy (i think this happened at roughly the same time as we entered NATO, which is probably a coincidence).

I should also add, Denmark did have it's own local Gladio-type organisations, but according to the book "NATO's secret armies", the danish version was entirely recruited from the young conservatives and was so entirely incompetent that they accidentally revealed their existence while trying to rig an election at the University of Copenhagen in the 70s.

Yeah it's basically the same in all of Europe / the EU I think. Our workforce in Denmark is quite heavily unionized, but all the unions are led by end-of-history-there-is-no-alternative neoliberals. Though I should also add, that I'm personally quite sour on Danish unions because I happen to belong to the single most useless one in the country, and I'd argue that my union is also one of the most well known.
