Jesus Christ

Whoever you are, wherever you are, make the extra effort to make sure you can vote this cycle. Just because of how much they don't want you to

Does this person think working shifts are just magic? You show up at 4am on a Saturday unscheduled and they just pay you with no complaint? People just get as much unauthorized overtime as they want?

I understand that's not the kind of work he's suggesting, but it is the kind of work that the vast majority of us do. Stop trying to normalize the hustle. We need to go back to RESPECT for the 9-5 working person and pay them enough to have comfortable lives

Am nurse. Can confirm. Scrubs is right about a LOT of things

They think they do. No amount of money will protect a person from the collapse of a civilization. Never has, never will. Their plans are very much predicated on the assumption that markets will somehow magically continue to function after the general populace has lost all faith in them

Never go into healthcare. That's all I'm saying.

I'm just gonna leave this here:

"For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.'"

Let no one who supports this kind of draconian corporate policy ever claim to be religious

If the carbon is in my body, it's not in the atmosphere where it would contribute to climate change. Checkmate, atheists

And building a case this secure is why it took 2.5 years to get this indictment. Honestly, light speed in our legal system. Everyone who doubted along the way doesn't understand how these things work.

Do you think OJ Simpson is innocent? Would you want your daughter or sister to marry him?

The are different standards for a reason. Society is perfectly capable of being aware that someone is a giant dickbag without there being enough evidence to justify using the power of the state to remove their freedom and incarcerate them. Those are two extraordinarily different things and you know it.

To suggest otherwise is to imply that the government is a perfect arbiter of dispute that we should all just blindly accept. Something tells me you wouldn't be so keen on that stance when it worked against your interests

As a nurse, I have to verify your name and birthdate 27 times a day to make sure I don't give you any medications that could kill you, but a cop is allowed to just assume. No triple checking verification of an address or person's identity.

Cool. Totally makes sense 👍

He might not look like much, but the man delivers even in the face of Republican obstruction.

"Biden has assembled the most impressive legislative record of any president since Lyndon Johnson. Drawing on his decades of experience, Biden deftly navigated a 50-50 Senate to pass a historic bipartisan infrastructure bill, generational investments in clean energy and semiconductor manufacturing, the first gun safety law in almost 30 years, a bill codifying same-sex marriage, a bill aiding veterans who suffered health effects from burn pits and an electoral reform to prevent a repeat of Trump’s attempt to use Congress to undermine the election. And that’s all without mentioning the nomination and confirmation of Ketanji Brown Jackson, the first Black woman to ever sit on the Supreme Court."

Now if we can get the Senate on lock and regain the House, we'll actually get a lot of serious work done

This is an internal decapitation. Spinal cord completely severed at that disjunction. Best case scenario is quadriplegia. Much higher than this would have been fatal.
