with a fan base that wants to be stuck in the past reliving the hero's journey ad nauseam

This seems counter to most complaints I've seen about the movie that they just rehashed the original trilogy.

If they're deeply empathetic people, then why do so many of them support the Ukraine invasion and want them to roll over and give their country away to Putin?

Harbor Freight has come quite a long way and has multiple tiers of product quality now, including stuff that can be compared to SnapOn, Matco, etc (the Icon line). Some of it is really good without requiring you to pay insanely inflated tool truck pricing and the rest of the market outside of tool truck brands is also built in China now so it's fairly slim pickings if you don't want to pay outrageous prices. If you use your tools for a living, there's a good argument to use mainstream brands like SnapOn for their convenience, but for hobbyists and the like HF will suit you well. For power tools I mostly use DeWalt mainly because they're better quality and because of the battery lock-in, but I do have a few Bauer power tools and they work great and cost half as much along with batteries being half the cost. DeWalt wants you to pay $100 for four 18650 batteries which is insane. For stuff like griding disks, cutoff wheels, or other consumables, I do tend to go with name brand since they're all universal and the cost difference isn't that much.

I do agree to be careful with stuff like jackstands, but I always double them up keep the jack under the car, put a tire under the car, and avoid being completely underneath them when possible. I actually bought a set of ramps just to avoid having to use them when I don't need the wheels off.

The DVD drive should have a SATA connector already.

OP you can do this, I 3D printed a couple adapters to fit 3.5" drives into my old server case's 5.25" slots while migrating everything to a new server. My only real concern with the whole thing is that there's no rubber isolators on them which could cause issues longterm.

You knew it would derail very quickly because that was your intention with your previous comment trying to paint these people as if they're a bunch of innocent victims being marginalized for being 'leftist'. They're not victims, and they're not leftist. They're the same people you would have seen hanging out in /r/The_Donald or 4Chan ten years ago, who only leave their cave to stir up crap, spread disinformation, and brigade others, only now they're cosplaying as leftists on a new platform.

I'm not surprised that you're pleased with Trump as him, Putin, and Xi are all birds of a feather who want to control all the power and wealth of the world. These sure don't seem like the type of icons communists would flock toward if you ask me.

This is blasphemy. Harbor Freight is a saint compared to Temu.

Not sure on your answer regarding laser cutting specifically, but they do make alternatives like a Cricut machine which uses a blade.

I think it's funny that the first thing written below the comic is "follow me on Twitter" with a link.

They've been scaling back sales to the US due to the tariffs and changes to the exceptions not requiring import duties on things under $800

That's a lot of artists to fit inside of a 7 Eleven.

I recently posted about upgrading my media server and migrating off Windows to Proxmox. I've been following an excellent guide from TechHut on YouTube but have run into issues migrating my media into the new Proxmox setup.

Both my old Windows machine and new Proxmox host have 2.5Gb NIC cards and are connected together with a 2.5Gb switch and running on the same subnet. Following the guide, I've created a ZFS pool with 7x14TB drives and created an Ubuntu LXC which is running Cockpit to create Samba shares.

When transferring files from Windows, I'm only seeing 100MB/s speeds on the initial transfer and every other transfer after that caps out at >10MB/s until I reboot the Cockpit container and the cycle completes.

I'm not very knowledgeable on Proxmox or Linux but have run an iperf3 test between Windows > Proxmox and Windows > Cockpit container and both show roughly 2.5Gb transfer speeds yet I am still limited when transferring files.

Googling the issue brings up some troubleshooting steps but I don't understand a lot of it. One fix was to disable IPv6 in Proxmox (I dont have this setup on my network), which was successful, but didn't fix anything. I no longer see the interface when doing an 'ip a' command in Proxmox, though I do still see it when doing it in the SMB container.

Does anybody have any experience with this that can offer a solution or path toward finding a solution? I have roughly 40TB of media to transfer and 8MB/s isn't going to cut it.
