Do you think we will be able to use this technology in America (even if America bans it)

This allows America to rearm and continue murdering innocent people. America's military was getting ready to resupply when the rare earth ban came into effect. Why even negotiate with America anymore. They were in a winning position and they just gave it up. China can go without America but America can't go without China. And they didn't even remove all of the tarifs just some of them. China could have gotten far more for that deal if they even wanted to make it. It just feels like a big mistake.

To be fair I linked my dad good sources like this one for US imperialism and he says it's "too biased" https://github.com/dessalines/essays/blob/main/us_atrocities.md#pervasive

Also these videos on debunking myths of communism and the other one is the death count of capitalism. https://youtu.be/BeRjTtKFlVM

I just feel like it's almost impossible to make changes in America with how everyone is afraid of communism and how many still fall for western propaganda. I can't even convince my own dad that capitalism is the problem. (even if I read theory I don't think it would be able to convince him). America is the number one blocker of all progress towards a better future. Is there even any hope for a revolution in America or do we just have to hope the collapse causes a civil war so that America can't lash out at other countries.

Is there a chance that the collapse causes a civil war so that the US will be too busy dealing with that to lash out at other countries? The country is polarized enough that I would think it would just take the right moment to cause that to happen. Other countries could take advantage of the weakness of the US during that time to surpass the US in every field. I feel like if a revolution can not be achieved this would be the best alternative because at least the rest of the world would benefit.

I would have thought a collapse would end more like a civil war due to the polarization of the country. I don't think the military/corporations could outright seize power without the "justification" of democracy because I would think people would resist that when no longer bound by the laws of the previous government.

Depends on how it collapses. Technically the current president is collapsing American soft power already. He can't run the government competently which helps to accelerate the collapse. The problem for people living in America while this happens is things will get very bad as it increasingly represses it's citizens and the class divide will only widen. I do think the collapse of american hegemony is still worth it though for the rest of the world. Regardless of how much we hate the current president we have to admit he has done things liberals absolutely would not have done (dissolve USAID, tariff all countries (this makes other countries adapt and become less dependent on the US), destroying the ability of the us to get rare earths by engaging in a losing trade war with China.) I mean I absolutely hate him but technically he has done more to desolve American hegemony than any other president in history (probably by accident).

I do think that if it doesn't seem possible for a revolution in America the second best thing is collapse so at least the rest of the world can benefit. The worst thing that could happen is America stabilizing and maintaining hegemony. I am just disturbed by the fact that accelerationism might actually be a valid answer here (not for the people in America but for the rest of the world). If it is a valid viewpoint then why is it banned in r/socialism. I asked here to clarify.

The collapse of the American empire would benefit almost every other country. I am starting to feel that since I live in America I should want to accelerate the collapse (or make sure one happens if things start to go back to business as usual). Can someone tell me why this is a bad idea so that I don't make a mistake here.

The black book of communism inaccurately counts 100 million deaths and is widely cited by every anti communist even though it is blatantly false. Could we make a version that cites 10 times the amount of deaths to use as a reply whenever someone cites it. Preferably without using logic as bad as they use. Just think it would be useful to use in arguments.

Can you break it down here?

Do you think they would be willing to do a revolution if things escalate or are they more hoping for a democratic solution still?

Also why are they anti communist when that is the best solution to their current problem?

I mainly just wanted to know how current class consciousness is in South Korea and if there is even a chance for a revolution there. I don't know enough which is why I asked

If a successful communist revolution happened in South Korea it would severely weaken us geopolitical influence in that area. It is also less locked down there as the entirety of the United States military is not there and it would take time for the US to be able to interfere. A revolution would have to be fast though to be successful. Do you think it is possible to use the Internet to radicalize people in South Korea or would someone have to take a risk and physically go there. The birth rate in South Korea is the lowest in the world. Most people are unhappy there so we could theoretically give them an answer to their problems. There would probably be a better chance at succeeding than in the United States right now because south Korea is practically end stage capitalism with the top 30 companies owning 76.9% of gdp. Isn't this the perfect stage for a revolution according to Marx?

They keep us fighting amongst ourselves with their propaganda. I don't get why most people don't understand that they need to look up, look at the controllers of our society who exploit them. Realize how no one is ever truly happy with their elected leaders. Realize that the capitalist class controls both parties and that neither represents the interests of the people. Everyone knows that our leaders take bribes and we literally just accept this as a fact of life (this shows how much they control the American people).

[–] Comrade1917@lemmygrad.ml 1 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Shouldn't stop us from trying. How can it be attempted at least. If no one dares to stand against the capitalists then no change will be made. A leader is needed and if the government dares to assassinate them would it not provide justification to the public for a revolution.

The left is far to divided and needs a central leader. The advantage the liberals and conservatives have are that their parties are not fractured. The two party system also prevents any way to win democratically so the only way to do this would be a revolution. But to have a revolution you must have the people on your side and Americans tend to look at a central leader like a president as the representation of a movement. How should we unite all of the different leftists under one leader so that there can be a united opposition. We also need to get more people to understand that currently America is not a true democracy and that the only way to fix this is with violence. Currently we need far more comrades like Luigi to remove the bourgeoisie with violence. If there are people with nothing left to lose some brave comrade should give them a weapon so they can do something.

For those of us living in the USA discussing theory won't change anything. Only action will. United we will win, fractured we will fall.
