On top of this most of the world recognized palistine as a country only 55 of the 193 (194 if we are counting the Holy Sea/Vatican City) do not recognize palistine. I would call that International recognition if 139 members of the UN Recognize Palestine.

So I really do not get what you are trying to say here, because it is not even techincaly correct, the International Court of Justice, United Nations General Assembly, International Red Cross Cressent and Crystal have all said it is a vioilation of international law.

This is before I start listing the individual counts of them violating just the geneva conventions, that apply to a signitory when they they fight any war reguardless of if the other side is recognized or a signitory. and agian Palistine is internationaly recognized

some advice I got given years and years ago when I was still in high school was, you do not need to invite them inside, but offer them a drink and a conversation, (try to keep it away from the bible... when I have done this I have been sucsessful some of the time in doing this) and the mentor who was giving this advice told me he always offered them his phone, because often they would not be allowed to call home while on mission, and he wanted them to be allowed to talk to their family.

This advice has really stuck with me, and I have tried to do this every time I have had interactions with them before. My best experence me and one missionary where talking about a shared intrest over aircraft, it was a good 45 minutes, though it was unfortunately ruined when his partner noticed that we where not talking about religion.

Hey I am just going to throw this out into the ether, I have been on the lemmy instances longer than beehaw, and I have yet to find an instance whos admin team I would trust less with their stated reasoning. I would not trust their stated reasoning and if I had to guess they are trying to get Lemmy.world to change something to come into line with them. if you ask me you have dodged a bullet.
