The subreddit r/guinea pigs has some issues with bots stealing our posts and uploading them to Facebook, so I came here. Doesn’t seem like a super active place but I’ll start posting about my peegs anyway!

I must use Microsoft Authenticator, because of their IT restrictions. I tap on a notification and enter a two digit number. I wish I could just use Aegis

My work requires that I use Microsoft Authenticator on my personal cell phone, to log in to my work account (very frustrating and unfair imo.. but that’s a different topic).

Has anyone been able to sideload these kinds of apps to a dumbphone? If so, how well does it work and what kind of dumbphone do you use? I currently have an iPhone and I’m becoming increasingly frustrated with Apple and want to get away from them.

Working on creating a dumbphone finder. Still needs tweaking but the list is growing! in c/dumbphones@lemmy.world
