Of course. And you realize balloons can have an advantage over satellites in certain situations?

Yep and just to note. There is currently a bug it seems where if you swipe too far, the gesture will have no effect. Instead swipe just a bit to reveal the symbol and it should work.

Ohh I gotcha! Lol that’s funny. I haven’t really checked out mastodon yet so am out of the loop

Lmao is “toot” the equivalent of “tweet” on mastodon?

God I hated all the joke comments that wound up at the top with thousands of upvotes. Just one big circle jerk on many serious topics. I’m sure it’ll still occur in Lemmy to some extent but hopefully the lack of karma will help keep it down.

Once again, freaking incredible. I look forward to testing! And might I say, the new icon is beautiful!!

Truly appreciate all the work you and anyone involved on this app (and lemmy in general of course) are putting in. It’s restoring that loss I’ve been feeling over the whole reddit situation.

I think it’ll take a while for us to know the real overall impact spez’s decision has made on Reddit’s user base. Until then, it’s really just speculation unless something concrete comes out (like financial reports etc).

I can’t seem to find a way either. I’m sure it’s being worked on and will be fixed soon.

Yep it seems like once a decade this same thing plays out. Billions of dollars are spent by the feds to push for broadband, nothing actually happens except the funds get sucked up by the ISPs who claim it wasn’t enough for them to do any meaningful push for expansion.

The only way I see something like this working is if the federal government started their own ISP and did it themself. Of course that would be ripe for corruption too. Maybe if they setup a trust with specific rules that couldn’t be broke in terms of profits earned.

Lmao I had forgotten about this
