There's good reason it's government administrated though. The competition model only works in urban environments. And even then. Those magnet schools etc are often just as big a part of the problem. Creating large disparities at best. Or a slightly more expensive failure mill on average.

There should be more leeway on a state by state basis to decide instruction methods etc. Provided they can satisfy core competencies. Part of the problem of the last 50 years is that we've let the most anti-education State set the standard for Education Nationwide simply because of their size.

Those are unreachable regardless. Making it socially unacceptable will keep many from falling into the trap at least. They should of course always be given a chance to change their minds and grow. But they have to have a reason to want to change. Which is why ridicule and social stigma are an important aspect.

Why does Satan always procrastinate on calling his soldiers home.

Education, fostering a culture of learning, merciles ridicule of any of that would reject it. There was a time that anyone screaming about the water turning the freaking frogs gay. Would only be seen standing on street corners smeared in their own shit as everyone shunned them. Not as an influential leader outside of small religious cults. You can never do away with them completely. But as a society we used to do much better about it. Boomers normalized it, us gen-x tolerated it, and it became a fact of life for millennials. Hopefully the Zoomers will finally start the push back the other direction. And those of us that are sane in the previous generations can show solidarity and support more than in that.

Yep, anyone who rails against education as an enemy is definitionally not a good person or group. Here in the United States that has been conservatives for the past nearly 60 years, and this is all been normal.

Such sites existing are not the problem. The problem is the cultures that accept and even Foster such sites. Authoritarian ideologies, leninist or fascist. They rely on conspiracy-minded dogmatic rhetoric and propaganda to keep us divided and fighting.

Why would theatrical comedies need to make a comeback? The love for them has never waned. Both my top 10 to 20/ most watched movies more than half are generally theatrical comedies. Police academy, top secret, hot shots, airplane, Robin Hood Men in tights, spaceballs, blazing saddles, real genius, and of course the original Naked Gun. They never stopped being good. Hollywood just forgot or didn't care to remember how to make them.

All anyone has to do is look at scary movie or Not Another series from the early 2000s. Starting out fairly decently. But quickly devolving into nothing but a series of references to other movies. Lazy cash grabs that weren't funny.

The one trailer I saw for this upcoming naked movie didn't seem encouraging to me but I'm going to hold off judgment until I've actually seen it. I really would like to see Hollywood embrace the format again. Well I love my action Blockbusters we've been starved for this kind of content for a decade or more.

Oh it was very mutual for Disney and daft punk. People like myself have had Daft Punk albums since the early 90s. While everyone was asking who was under the helmets. We already knew. And had followed them since before they formed Daft Punk. But for your average lay person. Tron legacy is what really introduced them to daft punk and caused them to blow up even bigger. Not that they didn't deserve it.

Legacy in the time it was made, had plenty of time to cook and get things just right. By all rights, Aries should have as well. But the Disney today is not that Disney.

From the little I've read they are doing this more as a semi reboot been a continuation. Which is a definite mistake in my estimation.

Yes. Any sort of automated scraping needs to be double checked. It's generally fine. But for things behind distributor services like cloudflare Etc. The IP return is going to say more about the person connecting to it than the people behind it.

Quick addendum though. Cloud flare and AWS however are both in the United States if I'm not mistaken. And still vulnerable to being compromised by our fascist Administration. But the.world server itself is fine.

It's your vote. And honestly, presidential elections are meaningless beyond keeping Republicans out currently.

I would much rather see AOC or Mamdami focus on helping to build other state legislatures up as allies. That would be the best way to actually get things done. So much effort is wasted on the presidency. And not spent in the legislature, which is where the fascists have gotten most of their victories from.

The addition of vulkan can't be overstated. It blew several bottlenecks wide open. And I really need to get in to nodes. Lol but every new release brings newer better ones and I seem to keep falling further and further behind. Cgmatter is always showing off beta ones and I'm all like ooooh I can't wait till that's out. Then it is and the cycle starts again.

Came across this while bouncing around the new feed on band camp the other day. Wasn't an artist that I was familiar with. But obviously not a new artist either. As they were doing a massive dump. Basically putting all their work up on band camp, later checking YouTube as well.

Musically if you are familiar, this artist reminds me a lot of the merciful nuns or garden of delight. Absolutely solid goth Rock if it's something you like. Definitely worth taking a look at.
