True, you can technically compute anything in CSS with enough hacks—but if your boss asks you to implement a sorting algorithm in CSS, it’s probably time to question their sanity. So I acknowledge the "well akchually", but still stand by my previous point😅

You could make that argument for interpreted languages, I guess. But still I would say there is a difference between those languages and HTML. HTML just describes the layout of a website and CSS describes how this layout should be presented exactly. What I consider a programming language (and output a "computer program") can do stuff like perform calculations, follow some control flow (e.g. conditions, loops, etc) and can handle user input/create output dynamically.

Anyway, I'm just here to argue against people making my ad blocker illegal 🥴

Maybe it doesn't matter legally speaking, but as a software engineer I would object when someone says HTML/CSS is a computer program. It just is some specially formatted text that is interpreted by browsers (which are the actual programs here).

Not occasion, but for "necessary" I like "Never Eat Cake, Eat Sweet Salad And Remain Young"

As many as I want, which happens to be zero.

Most of the time in favor of the last person he talked to, if that person knows at least a little bit how to handle him (and Putin most certainly does). As soon as I heard that they would talk, I knew he would drop some pro-russian taking points again.

Agreed, as long as we are not actually buying almost a trillion worth of stuff from the US🥴

Putting counter tariffs up is maybe nice for the optics of a strong Europe, but I'm fine if we don't do it. Let them tax themselves🤷‍♂️

Just don't buy billions worth of fossil fuels from the US please!

Racists can go to Russia. I heard they have a lot of space in their country.

To be fair I would have been fine with one-sided tariffs from the US. After all Americans are paying them. Yeah, export to the US would decline, but at least there is still the rest of the world and it's a problem for businesses, less so for individual consumers.

I'm not fine with promising to buy trillions worth of stuff from the US though. This just makes us more dependent on them again in a time where we should get less dependent!

Give me some European competition please. I'm not happy about all of them being American...

I always was a bit confused by people that said "Ukraine deserves to join the EU already".

Yeah, we can all agree we should support it as much as possible against Russia, but joining the EU is not something you deserve, but something you work towards by aligning yourself with it on a multitude of levels. If we would add new countries without following that process, the EU would get even less manageable than it already is. 😢 I hope Ukraine can get there, but getting rid of anti-corruption measures is not it.
