I2P could be a solid option over TOR then, no?

We've known since at least March that about 10 human cases of this new bird flu would allow the virus to mutate and adapt to humans. This is the 14th reported case in the states this year, and the first which could have been transmitted from human to human. We understood what was happening, yet have really done nothing to try to prevent it's spread.

The mutation rate baked into Influenza's reproduction cycle is much more elaborate than coronaviruses, and this isn't exactly a bad thing. When a human catches bird flu from a bird, the mortality rates are pretty burly as this version of the virus attaches to the α2:3 receptor. While this receptor is found throughout the avian digestive and respiratory track, it's only found in the lower lungs of humans. A lower lung infection will always be gnarlier than an upper respiratory infection. Human influenza viruses have a preference for the α2:6 receptor, which is found throughout our airway. This is the primary adaptation which occurs when influenza mutates to infect humans. But a virus is a parasite, so in their ideal world, they wouldn't kill their host. Viruses often do the most damage when adapting to or having recently adapted to a new host. Hopefully, the mutation rate of influenza will result in a shorter pandemic compared to COVID if it ends up taking place.

Basically couldn't have come any later really. They're already coming out the gates scrabbling with just 3 months and change until voting starts.

Android user? Graphene looks like it's worth the setup process more and more. Pixels are the only Google product worth while thanks to Graphene really.

GrapheneOS has a feature which makes the USB-c port inactive unless the phones unlocked. I'd think this would be a preventative for cellebrite.

It's the most aerodynamic vehicle ever made for mainstream production, so that's why it looks a bit odd. But it's amazing they'll send you the 3D printing data so you can print replacement parts!

This past weekend the heads of state from Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger met in the first summit of the Alliance of Sahel States.

Aptera is fully right to repair, so I'd say them even though their car won't be available for a few more months.

It's IV ketamine use which has shown to rewire the connections between nodes in the brain. These old connections have triggers for depression baked in more or less. So in rewiring the nodes, the baked in depression can be circumvented. The nasal spray then reenforces these new pathways which were created via IV treatment to help ensure the old ones aren't used again by the brain. It's a delicate process and abusing the drug definitely only makes assessing the process much more difficult.

Their "privacy" claim is only in reference to Google and Microsoft, which is a ridiculously low bar to hold up to....

Great list, this post is getting saved without question! I don't see Kolourpaint though, which is a great FOSS digital art program. I'd say it should be added to the list as it's my go to for light weight photo editing. Also, Obsidian isn't FOSS, which may not be what your looking for specifically as it has a free option. I prefer Standard Notes as it's FOSS and great for managing notes privately across devices.

I feel like its pretty great. The additional VPN connections are nice and you can set it up on your router too.

SimpleLogin is the biggest benefit from the email options for sure. Unlimited aliases plus you can setup unique domains which then allow you to make email addresses up on the fly.

Drive now syncing with photos on smart phones is super nice. Also awesome to be able to share files from Drive to anyone. You can set passwords and/or time frames for the link access too.

I'm staying with Bitwarden + Aegis as it seems like too much of my data in one place using Pass for passwords and 2FA.

Calendar is cool, nice knowing it's setup with zero-knowledge encryption. You can also share events with folks that use any calendar.

With the Standard Notes news, I'm hoping this will result in having some of the bells and whistles that Standard Notes gives paying customers. But I haven't found anything regarding this so far.

All in all, it's worth the price for sure. All security focused with the ability to make it the backbone of your online privacy too.
