I don't know if this is the same but Sweden have a thing where you pay into a fund that helps victims of crimes. When a criminal gets convicted and has to pay a victim money, the state takes money out of the fund and pay the victim and then the fund tries to get the money from the criminal. This way it doesn't become the victims problem that the criminal can't pay.

Genies are magical, omnipotent beings. They are fully capable of existing in a universe with paradoxes. Guess who can't do that? A pasty little nerd that think he is clever.

The things that annoy us are things we are not used to. There are hundreds of things in your life that are equally annoying but since they have always been that way you don't notice them. That's why babies are the way they are. Everything us new and annoying.

I had the same instinct to tear them off but I told myself to not be a toddler and just got used to it within a week.

I know piracy will be 90% of the answer here and I agree but I am watching with people that insist on legal viewing.

I watched a 3D printing youtuber say that Adam Savage said 20% but 10% is what he uses.

I have never seen my sunlu dryer show anything bellow 23% even after days of use and I have no idea how to achieve 10 without cooking the filament.

Then she gets to meet the slave race they keep in the basement and said slaves explain that their enslavement is a fundamental part of magic society and the only reason Dobby in particular had to be freed was because his owners were a bit too mean to him. The message becomes "slavery is fine as long as slaves are treated well.". Then they drop that particular can of worms because addressing it would require societal change. It is one of few endeavours where the heroes of the story just fail to do what they want.

Yeah, it's Harry Potter. Social change is the enemy in the book. At no point does anyone try to improve anything in the book. They don't even oppose evil that much. They just oppose it when the existing evil tries to go too far by the current standards of evil.

I was setting up a RSS reader with a bunch of webcomics but I immediately ran into the problem of some being on Instagram and I would like to have some way to handle that without having to use instagram. After some googling I found a bunch of links to abandoned or broken projects with documentation I did not understand.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. I am quite the beginner tough, I have a truenas running on an old computer and a raspberry pi in a desk drawer so that the general competence I am working with.

When I click a tag on a thing I get what I think is their 404 page. At least I think it is because they decided to to make it all cute rather than provide information

They all sold out and they are all packed in one dudes garage. The actual sale of them will take place over the next year over a series of ebay auction, as is tradition for limited edition things.

Am I missing something? Microsoft literally won't let me upgrade because my fully functional processor is deemed to old for them. Of coarse the adoption rate is low if they start by excluding a good portion of their user base.

Even religious groups hate organized religion. They just make an exception for the one they happen to be part of.

So, do they have any proof that Joe Biden has done anything or are they just pretending that Joe and Hunter are the same person?

Just removing subsidies on corn would solve the core problem. There are lots of things corn is used for that shouldn't be corn that also get fixed by that.
