The new “Recall” feature really does look good on paper, but the taking in mind that it catalogues almost everything you do on your computer, it could turn out to be a privacy nightmare. “logging things you do in apps, tracking communications in live meetings, remembering all websites you’ve visited for research, and more,” according to the Verge. What could this mean for future computing? It would certainly make digital forensics a whole lot easier…..

Interesting for sure, but it looks like an ad-ridden clone of GBA4iOS, so I may just stick with sideloaded Ignited for now. In my opinion though, this is a big step, as others are probably soon to follow with possibly better ones.

You should’ve read the article, ”You should run the ISO with sufficient RAM (1GB should be more than enough). Such an amount of memory is required because packages to be installed are stored in RAM (on the initramsfs) instead of the disk. This is currently the best method since the OS is not yet able to read on a USB stick or CD-ROM by itself, so it relies on the bootloader for this. ”

I guess you could run on lower ram, but package installs require more.

Pros: Make backups of your physical games and play them digitally (or sail the 7 seas). Homebrew like emulators, ports. Game modding, overclocking, fps unlocking. You can even install Android, and Linux on a modded switch.

Cons: at risk of getting banned, possibly violating your warranty. Bricks are also possible if the mod is done incorrectly, but the chances are very low unless doing a hardmod.

I use a modded v1 switch currently, and I highly recommend it. Just make sure to make emunand as a designated sandbox for homebrew and hacking stuff.
