As much as I would love this to be true, it's also important to recognise that Mossad has many spies in Iran and they have been relentlessly bombing any military production, storage and launchers they can locate.

It's highly likely this has had an impact on Iran's ballistic missile and drone launching and production capabilities. Hopefully they still have enough juice in the tank to see this thing out though.

There were rumours this was a drone recovery chute (possibly the same line of thinking that all US ships and planes in the area happened to have mysterious malfunctions I'm not sure).

If this is a US pilot Trump just got his latest McClusterfuck burger delivered.

I go to bed every night struggling to sleep keeping on top of things, and it was looking like an ominous night. I was seeing struggles in Lebanon. Between white phosphorous, and being bombed to fuck they're having a hell of a time keeping Israel out of Khiam with some heavy fighting. Giving as good as they're getting. MTV Lebanon news published locations of Hezbollah. They were all bombed immediately by Israel. Then there was no Iran missiles for hours, Hebrew sources were feeling comfortable. I was getting bad news and worrying Iran had nothing left or were on the back foot.

Then bam, cyber attack on MTV puts it down completely (Handala?), and serious missile barrage on Tel aviv from Lebanon and Iran. Russian news claiming big hit on high military bunker (but we can never take anything like that as fact, probably bullshit propaganda). Dubai airport - another one of those intercepted drones fell in an open area and set their jet fuel on fire in a serious blaze.

No sources I'm afraid, just a summary of what's kept me up this evening

It's amazing the different kinds of heroes war can produce. I know nothing of Handala, if it's one old guy drinking a coffee at a laptop, or a team of young computer wizards in a hi-tech bunker. But either way - This kind of shit is the stuff that wins wars. Individuals with a certain gift finding ways to fight back on the powerful rich oppressor.

Latest update from this fucking buffoon. His desperation is increasing by the hour

*The United States of America has beaten and completely decimated Iran, both Militarily, Economically, and in every other way, but the Countries of the World that receive Oil through the Hormuz Strait must take care of that passage, and we will help — A LOT! The U.S. will also coordinate with those Countries so that everything goes quickly, smoothly, and well. This should have always been a team effort, and now it will be — It will bring the World together toward Harmony, Security, and Everlasting Peace! President DONALD J. TRUMP *

Here in the UK he recently pissed off the right wing mob by saying our forces in Afghanistan stood far back from the fighting.(not true. Wish it was). Then after our spineless slug of a prime minister sent a ship he said it was too little too late and he didn't need help with a war he had already won. Now he's asking us to help protect the strait. Hopefully even the dumbest amongst our citizens find this fucking hilarious.

Donald Trump's latest post on Truth Social -

Many Countries, especially those who are affected by Iran’s attempted closure of the Hormuz Strait, will be sending War Ships, in conjunction with the United States of America, to keep the Strait open and safe. We have already destroyed 100% of Iran’s Military capability, but it’s easy for them to send a drone or two, drop a mine, or deliver a close range missile somewhere along, or in, this Waterway, no matter how badly defeated they are. Hopefully China, France, Japan, South Korea, the UK, and others, that are affected by this artificial constraint, will send Ships to the area so that the Hormuz Strait will no longer be a threat by a Nation that has been totally decapitated. In the meantime, the United States will be bombing the hell out of the shoreline, and continually shooting Iranian Boats and Ships out of the water. One way or the other, we will soon get the Hormuz Strait OPEN, SAFE, and FREE! President DONALD J. TRUMP

I think stopping this war may prove more difficult than they think. If US up and leave I doubt there will be much left of Israel by the time they get home.

I realise it may be slightly insensitive to the Muslims amongst us, but I have an expensive bottle of champagne that will be getting promptly deployed the second this becomes CONFIRMED.

Between Haifa Refinery, refuelling aircraft exploding with crew, potential incident on an aircraft carrier forcing it to retreat, and multiple other notable strikes, I'm thinking we are looking at one of, it not the most successful night so far for Iran.

The better this goes for Iran, the more I grow concerned the US or Israel will turn to Nukes. Maybe a dumb question, but what could anyone even do if Russia announced a nuclear retaliation policy on anyone who nuked Iran? I feel like they're the only ones who can prevent the increasingly only successful option for these mass murdering psychos.

[–] GracesArms@lemmygrad.ml 15 points 3 days ago

Same Abraham Lincoln that was targeted with missiles and drones earlier. I wonder if the two are related. I'm seeing rumours that it may be retreating which would be massive if true.

[–] GracesArms@lemmygrad.ml 14 points 3 days ago

Seems very unlikely that a refueling aircraft can go down and there be any survivors. Their only hope would be that it had emptied its entire tank but I'm really not sure the likelihood of that.

This is going to more horrific optics for Trump. Regardless of if it was Iran or a collision probably looking at 6 us military incinerated. Not sure which is a worse look for Trump, because another accident after 2 jets were lost to friendly fire is really pointing to general incompetence in the ranks.
