Wild to see a Plan9 distro. What do you use it for? Hobby projects, distro surfing, etc?

The whole subsystem is being removed, so the Android container to run apks is going with it. Sad to see it go, although my usage went down quite a bit after moving away from 3rd party Reddit apps.

I believe you can install it on anything that supports KDE. PostmarketOS has it as an environment option. I've not tried it yet either, but I'm interested in a Linux TV Box alternative as well.

The 8BitDo stuff is what I had in mind as well. Everything I have from them has Xinput mode, and works great for PC Game Pass and Xcloud games. I was hoping that anything that supports Xinput would be available on the actual consoles, but walled garden.

It is called nookZax. According to the readme it re-implements the interpreter used on Zax hardware for text games. Honestly I need to look into more of this myself, as I've never dealt with software that old directly.

Still using mine as well. I used to browse Reddit and RSS feeds on it, but have gone back to just using it as an e-reader. I am planning to give that text game emulator a spin. I use ReLaunch, but I'm still on the system reader. How is AlReader? Is it worth the switch?

That is a hilarious, yet useful test.

That would be a great development. I've always disliked Google's bizarre restriction on video out.

Indeed, for what was such a dark, dangerous journey at times it was nice to have someone around who brings some pep.

This is great to see! Definitely makes things easier for ChromeOS installs. Do you plan on periodically merging in changes from Infinity if they're worthwhile? Or upstreaming any of your changes?

While I love gadgets, I hate the support cycles. These things should last for years, but support will get cut much sooner.

I think you're on to something. Contemporary society claims to adhere to a higher moral compass, but then trashes it if a profit can be made. The Ferengi Alliance makes no such claim, so everyone is getting stabbed in the front - so to speak.
