Ah that makes a lot of sense. Patch frequency has been a little slow lately, but there have been a lot of pretty cool changes since I started playing so I always kind of wonder where it all comes from. I guess there still are a lot of major features missing so I can understand why people are upset.

What is PES? Is that something for server mesh?

I haven't been an SC fan for that long so I guess I don't understand what exactly people are so upset about that they're trying to riot.

I think I'm rooting for the Corsair this time!

The reason why is to make sure a single entity doesn't hold all the power.

Reddit is only failing because the corporation holds all the power. If we replaced Reddit with another single site, the same thing would happen again. The site would sell out and it would be whored out to advertisers.

On Lemmy, if one site tries to go corporate, people will just move to another instance. The power is in our hands and no corporations can take it away.

Yeah let's just support Lemmy developers maybe?

I mean... This looks exactly like the 90s.

No, I think the UI uses building blocks. There doesn't seem to be a whole lot that's different about Rastar that wasn't already covered 2 years ago at citizencon: https://youtu.be/fQkN1YdT6SI?t=491

I think maybe the original outposts were built without using this tool? It's more feature complete now and so they're using it to revamp all the existing bunkers. At the end of the day, nothing changes for the players besides the exterior layout of the area around the bunkers.

I just got into star citizen but I'm loving it so far! Maybe I'm on the honeymoon phase, but the potential here is massive!

Gotta keep the verse clean🤣

wow I thought they just hadn't fixed pinning yet 😅

Sad that there doesn't seem to be much movement off of the sc subreddit. Everyone there was pretty ambivalent about the blackout, and there really aren't many people posting sc content anywhere on Lemmy 😔

Looting the risky salvage missions is still profitable, but they've been nerfed pretty hard. For a 30k aUEC investement, you can generally make $120k, and if you know where the secret illegal commodities console is, you don't have to risk going to a salvage yard with no armistice zone
