I have never heard anyone say “Grandpa Google”. I have heard more people say “Bing it” than someone that didn’t use “Google” to mean search.

It’s a shame how poorly that protest was planned. It should have been indefinite from the start, not 2 days, and moderators should have held out longer, instead of folding when Reddit said they would lose their power.

As someone that really enjoys his videos, I hope they’re not gone forever. I somewhat doubt they will be though. Maybe he will go back to an upload every 6 months or year after his break. I do also enjoy his Lateral podcast, if anyone hasn’t checked that out yet. Some pretty well known YouTuber guests.

I got a $600 projector and have about 90 inch display ( can hit 120 if my apartment was bigger). No need to go to a cinema, overpay for drinks and snacks, and I can pause and pee whenever I want.

The only thing that had me back on Reddit was searching for something on DDG and getting 99% Reddit results. I see why they are un-deleting people's comments and posts when they close their accounts. Hopefully other forums take those spots.

Gonna comment in case the upvotes don’t count, I’m really a fan of Voyager. Not a big deal if it were to stay Wefwef, but Voyager has more appeal to my ear. Either way, great app regardless of name.

They probably won’t ever stay fully out, since anyone can make an instance, just up to mods and individuals to block them and not federate with obvious natzi communities.

I got rid of Netflix when they said my bill would be $20 a month and I rarely used it. I just find other ways to find shows and load up my Plex server. Sometimes have to wait for blu ray releases but I have a long enough watch list to keep me going.
