Interesting, I've not heard of this shell of ice, and I believe in a young earth. I have heard though of a similar hypothesis based in Genesis 2:5-6 which proposes that it did not rain before Noah's flood and that plants were kept watered by a heavy mist and/or extremely humid atmosphere. Acoording to this idea, that excess water in the air and ground would've been all condensed by God as part of the flood.

I'm not sure I entirely agree with the hypothesis, and I do not believe it is essential biblical knowledge so I don't concern myself with it, but I have heard it before.

I personally doubt it. If you consider it an addiction then you can compare it to the idea that drug addicts have to take more to get the same high and may even look for more extreme drugs.

I'm worried it would make things worse, but I'm not sure.

Pros

  • more attention to the Fediverse and all the advancement that may bring with it.
  • If the Fediverse ever becomes mainstream corporations will end up with their own content on it so having Meta join would provides early insight on how the Fediverse may be effected by becoming mainstream.

Cons

  • Some instances may not have the server load to support being federated with Meta
  • There's a decent chance it hinders healthy growth (Like a Cuckoo hatchling that starves out the bird's actual children.)

Edited my title because I realize it implied that Phreak was behind the changes (which is possible, but noone has said it yet).

Anyway. No, i haven't seen any talk from any devs as to why the changes are being made. I assume Phreak will talk about it in his usual patch rundown whenever these changes hit live but I don't know how many of those changes are actually his.

I rolled up a Tumblr account because I was thinking the same thing, but it really doesn't fill the social media niche I want like Reddit.

Lemmy is doing a much better job of that, although I'm curious to see what happens to the user base as time goes on.

League of Legends is the game we all share (it's how most of us met each other) but there are other games that some of us play together from time to time.

Deep Rock Galactic, Risk of Rain 2, Remnant: From the Ashes (sequel next month), Minecraft, and ARPGs. Just to name a few.

It's not uncommon either for us to just be playing out own thing and streaming to the others.

Yes, the intention is to move him back out of support and back into mid lane although there is a possibility to see him APC like Ziggs/Karthus as well.

I personally play both support and mid but I much prefer playing Xerath in the midlane so I'm quite happy about these changes.

Hello, saw this post will sorting by all communities and new. I'm not an expert but thought I could at least provide advice on where to look for information.

Have you tried looking at articles that talk about marriage and applying them to your situation. As moving in with someone else is a major part of marriage it's likely that many of those points would also apply.

Also, I don't think it's a time thing, I think it's more along the lines of some questions that need to be answered for example:

  • Are you comfortable putting your financial well being in their hands?
  • Are you willing to regularly assist with any problems they may have? (stress, mental health, physical health, etc)
  • Do you share moral/political/religious beliefs?
  • Are you comfortable with their level of cleanliness?

It's been a while since I've taken a college level interpersonal communications course but I think I remember these questions coming up as things to consider in a romantic relationship.

While I haven't played it in a hot second, Dead Cells is one of my favorite rogue-likes and this is very exciting news.

I don't watch much TV, but I'll likely watch these since the episodes will be short.

I'm currently waiting for the PDF preview copy of Break!! to get sent out to the Kickstarter backers. I will be honest, I backed it entirety for the art style but I'm very curious to see how it plays.
