My favorite part of daily walking / train / bike share commute is using a particular mid block crosswalk with flashing lights to stop 4 lanes of traffic at rush hour.

95% of trips are 30 miles or less. Of course everyone is the exception, we’re all above average drivers here.

Whether or not it’s a good thing is totally a fair point for discussion. Sidewalks and dedicated driving lanes were not the only possible solution.

And even if it was pointed at random nasa equipment it’s so far away that you need a very special radio and antenna; not just any old satellite is necessarily going to do the trick. I think the signal strength is around -196db iirc so incredibly faint, and The antennas they use to communicate with voyager are massive.
