Clickbait picture. Real hand looks like a stoneware brick, or Mexican ET

[-] Ketchup@reddthat.com 25 points 8 months ago

Well, at least the two of us aren’t okay with this. I’m not desensitized to it. And I never will be. I don’t accept this as “just the way it is now”.

The government: Can’t function well enough to perform tasks that increase the GDP? We have a drug for that.

[-] Ketchup@reddthat.com 23 points 8 months ago

That says it all. I had to check because I thought you might have been predictively hyperbolic, but no, that’s the title now

I wouldn’t take it seriously, those commenters figured out they can troll hexbear and lemmyworld at the same time with one “joke”.

Yes. Furthermore it seems if you’ve ever held office, been a director, worn a uniform or robe your invincible. Unless you did the right thing. I’m sure you get punished for having integrity.

I remember that one. They also discussed how most large airports had the ability to fully service aircraft and how there were only a few depots such as Texas and hiring skilled illegals as mechanics to service the majority of aircraft to cut costs and take advantage of those workers.

This reminds me of something Alan Watts said in a lecture once about the three social classes and there perspectives on time:

“The Aristocracy who live completely in the past— they are like potatoes, the better part of them are in the ground”

I’m saving the fediverse by adding valuable content and participating in building a community that people can find useful for all future generations. But no need to thank me, it’s honest work.

I just wanted to say thank you so much for this app. When I joined Lemmy on the 23rd of June I did it with the aid of Memmy. It really eased the pain of Apollo’s passing.

It felt good to give my 5 stars on the App Store, and even better watching Memmy break the top 100 social apps.

I’m gonna stay in test flight and try to be a help if I can

Thank you so much !
