Cost of ammo (lemmy.world)
submitted 10 months ago* (last edited 10 months ago) by MarigoldPuppyFlavors@lemmy.world to c/guns@lemmy.world

I'm relatively inexperienced with firearms, but have noticed that the price off ammo has fluctuated greatly over the last 1.5 or so years. For example, where I am, a 50 count box of 9mm has nearly halved in price from ~$20 to ~$12.

Is this due to COVID or is this sort of thing typical of the industry? Thanks in advance.

To be honest a lot of the memes on here don't make sense. But then perhaps I've finally become old.

Don't forget the shirts. "I've acquired an array of venereal diseases and parasites by way of the restaurants I choose to patronize!"

Most of my hobbies are geared toward getting away from people so not sure how to answer this one.

Misidentifying the fallacy makes it all the more realistic.

For some reason I love this.

I enjoyed your downvoted meme reference.

Depends entirely on what you want to do. For some professional careers, the degree is everything (engineer, lawyer, etc.) For other career paths it may not matter at all.

Could you find something doing "community development" with the degree you have? Almost certainly, since that's an extremely broad description, as you noted.

Without more information on what you actually want to be/do, it's tough to give any useful advice.

Slammed. The pope lept from the turnbuckle, robes aflurry, and slammed the backwardness.

The entire premise of conservatism is that the way things are now (or how they recently were), and the projection of this into the future, is the best possible way for things to be. How absolutely stupid do you have to be to believe that?

"Let's just stop here, things are as good as they're going to get. No improvements can be made."

Well that is where societies get to. Being educated or uneducated becomes equivalent to a political stance. There are plenty of examples of educators getting murdered by governments, sometimes en masse.

Recommend thinking about Ben Shapiro much less often.

He didn't hit the trophy, he hit the platform which made the trophy fall over. If he hulk smashed the top of the trophy that way it wouldn't have gently toppled over, it would've shot off to the side in multiple pieces.
