Yeah… there’s certainly some progress in the works and the mayor in particular seems to get it. But I wouldn’t bet on Cleveland becoming Amsterdam either.

I remember how funny I found that video the first time I saw it (when it was new). It has not aged well... 🫣

I'm looking for a great organizer to join Swing Left as the Triangle Organizing Coordinator. It's a flexible, part-time, $18 an hour role that will help us build new local grassroots groups.

2024 will be a critical election for defending democracy and defeating MAGA extremism—there's no time to waste so we're starting to organize now. We must re-elect Biden-Harris, defend our narrow Democratic Senate Majority, and win back the House—giving Democrats a federal trifecta that can strengthen our democracy and make progress on the issues we care about. And we must elect a Democrat as the next Governor of North Carolina. Let's get started. I hope you'll apply or share this listing with someone who might be a good fit.

Very cool. Yeah, Cincinnati’s sprawl is crazy - but there’s a lot of opportunity for transit oriented development so I guess that the optimistic perspective.

Take your impact to the next level by stepping up to co-lead a new grassroots group. Swing Left is launching "Team Up” to pair you up with other new leaders in your community and give you training and support to build a new grassroots group. If you’re in Richmond, Queens, or the Twin Cities, apply to join Team Up this fall - or let us know you’d like Team Up in your city!

Columbus is on track to have more people riding bikes die on our roads this year than any year on record. The city isn’t doing nearly enough to protect people who walk or bike.

This is my full interview with Kim Irwin, the Executive Director of Health By Design about her work advocating for expanded transit and other urbanist policy in Indianapolis. It was a great conversation. Check out the more polished version of the video here.
