For me it's actually a good thing to not have the almost infinite stream of content that reddit had because it stops me from doomscrolling for hours on end and leads me to actually doing something

But then the task you stop becomes something that you forget about

There is a Browser extension called: "Block The Rich", which blurs every headline and image about a major billionaire so you can avoid them.

There is no actual proof for the suicide of the son and the mom, would love to see actual proof if you have it but i wouldn't really use this as an argument. I admit his behaviour was too much but pointing the blame for the suicide of a child is also too extreme
