The constant word salad and obvious gaffs are evidence she’s a moron. The people who are putting her out there, however, are exactly what you say.
If you want a dutch oven, I have empirical evidence that their ceramic coating is better than the cheap (Tramontia, Lodge) coatings as I have all three. You pay for Le Creuset but they are close to gold standard for "buy it for life"
Lower inflation just means the crazy prices are going up slower, they’re still there and wages still haven’t caught up.
We’re just not drowning any faster is all, but a bunch of people are still under water.
Even my “corporate” Thinkpad with no dedicated GPU has all the fans on the bottom and exhausting to the sides and back.
With the new hinges there’s space on the back for exhaust, some impeller fans drawing from the sides and exhausting out the back would be so much better. I custom printed some 1/2 inch high feet so it doesn’t throttle sitting on a table or lap desk because it’s just a terrible design even when used normally
And a good time to also say that with first past the post, voting third party at the national level is voting for the person you hate the most. Both major US parties are repulsive right now, but only one of them actually cares about letting me vote after 2024 so I guess there’s little choice.
Vote third party at the local level, that’s where a single person has the most power, sometimes enough to change the outcome by themselves. So few people bother with the local elections that have direct effects on their lives, and that’s where you can get people that have similar views to you into the political game and put them on a road to the national level.
Republicans have played a long, long game over my lifetime to disenfranchise non whites, reduce education and encourage misinformation, getting their lawmakers in power over time. Democrats say they support social programs but continue to increase “defense” spending and are spineless when it comes to defending supportive programs and civil rights.
We can’t get what we want tomorrow, or next year. We can do it in 30 if people decide on a long term plan, but for now we have to vote for the one that at least agrees with democracy and basic human rights even if you’re brown skinned or a woman, or gay, or trans, or… so we still can make changes later.
That doesn’t mean you turn into a Biden sycophant. Criticize the Democrats, tell your Congressfolks what you like and don’t like, get your friends to do the same. Think about what you want politically, build a logical set of goals that come from core concepts and keep pushing. Vote in local elections, it can’t be said enough.
