ICE cars are just as reliant on computers. Have you seen the articles on "your car is spying on you" and BMWs heated seat monthly fee?
Plus, when you consider all the emissions controls required by the government versus the car companies trying to make the cars exciting for the consumer, the whole thing ends up one big giant mess of computer and sensors.
I'd love if they self hosted or found something other than YouTube. It's probably a money issue though.

That's cars for you. Anything that large and convenient can't be good for the environment, no matter the power source or configuration.
A small cheap tool set is going to save you money over a decent multi-tool and be much easier to use. One for the home, one for your transportation, and finally a multi-tool for when you're caught with your pants down. Just make sure you know why you're buying the tools you're buying.
They told the guy they were going to start logging his activities and he kept going anyway. It's not Proton's job to get shut down or fight an endless slew of legal battles.

We might be better off going back to web rings, word of mouth, and searching websites like Wikipedia and Imdb directly. I, for one, am sick of being funneled into the same bad results every time I search. The same old forum posts from 10 years ago with outdated information, many of which claim "your question was answered already!" followed by a dead link or a flame war.
Implement new features that only work when you integrate with Meta, then cut them out of the picture if they don't do what Meta says. The majority of users will stick with the instances that have the stickers and emojis that their friends have. Similar to what Google is doing with it's browser and the Internet.
