Actually I tried to pull it myself on Saturday (...) I’m a bleeder

How did it go, could you get rid of it yet?

Fuck that!

My sense is that he liked the “pulp” genre

I think so too, considering that right after sci-fantasy, cheap horror story/movie style scenarios are what he always went back to.

Interesting, I have never seen this one before!

Corben is certainly in the top league with the other grandmasters, like Moebius, Otomo, Miyazaki, Segrelles and Bilal. They are the "creme de la creme" of comic art and only very few get even close to their aesthetic niveau and strength of expression. Corbens characters are pretty flat personalities but his masterful play with forms and textures more than makes up for that.

Such things are generally not good…

Infections so close to the brain can be quite dangerous, so I hope you can get it removed very soon, because now I am fucking worried. Best wishes and get well soon! (If it does not bother you, please keep me updated)

My dude, self analysis and self critique are signs of high intelligence and awareness. Of course sometimes we don´t show our best side but that is only human. Don´t feel bad, unlike a lot of people, you are consciously working on improving yourself as an individual, this post/the self reflection you display is proof of it. The argument happened and is in the past now, you realized what happened and decided what you want to do differently in the future. Let go of it and focus on being the person you want to be, here and now.

I wish you and the whole EGN+ community a great 2026!

Ich freue mich für dich! Hoffentlich finde ich auch irgendwann ein Präparat das für mich funktioniert und nicht nur die ersten paar Tage so wirkt wie es soll und dann dafür sorgt das es mir schlechter geht als ohne...

If you ever have leftover sweet potato from the day before, I recommend making sweet potato pancakes!

Please let me know how to use this. Your help is very appreciated.

Edit: This is not a ready meal, it´s an ingredient and I am interested in what recipes to use it for.

Today I would like to introduce you to Small Lebowsky, an austrian artist who became a living legend with a cult following on german speaking reddit communities. Especially the biggest german meme community r/ich_iel loves him for posting a new frog drawing every wednesday, always titled "Es ist Mittwoch meine Kerle" - "It's Wednesday my dudes", which he kept up for several years if I'm correct. Some time ago he stopped the traditional Wednesday frog posts on reddit and took a break, to soon after resurface on lemmy/mastodon.

His style is characterized by clear lines and is strongly influenced by manga, anime and Japanese pop-culture, as well as western fantasy and science fiction. His drawings are usually stuffed with -more or less insider- references and easter eggs for the viewer to find.

Check out his work here:

I know there are many recipes online but I would love to get to know what your favourite recipe to make at home is. I made mostly vegan Kimchi in the past but I am ready to try recipes with fish sauce now because I have no more vegan girlfriend to consider in my cooking.

My standard is that I pre cut nappa cabbage in ready to eat size, salt it for at least a few hours and then wash it to clean it and to get the salt off. I make a sauce from Korean red pepper flakes, ginger, garlic and spring onions. Sometimes I also put in onions, carrots, radish and pear too. I usually add some soy sauce (as a umami replacement for fish sauce). Then I make a slurry by cooking up some rice flower and water and mix that with the sauce. Afterwards I mix the sauce into the cabbage, put everything in a large container and let it sit at room temperature until fermentation sets in. After that I keep my kimchi on slow fermentation in the fridge.

What is your standard, what can I improve? Looking forward to reading your recipes and ideas!

I have been uploading comic art images by Moebius for several weeks almost daily to the !eurographicnovels@lemm.ee community, where I´m a moderator myself. All those images have disappeared. Modlog says the images have been deleted by "admin". Modlog gives no reason for this but says the images were later restored by "admin" but that is not true. All my comic art posts have been destroyed and are empty posts now. I was not even contacted a single time about this and honestly can´t think of a reason because I had uploaded exclusively "safe for work" and apolitical material. We are trying to build a community for european graphic novels like "Tintin", "Lucky Luke" and "The Incal" and I put a lot of love in those posts because I want to help make our community interesting and grow. However - I have been stongly discouraged to contribute content now that I have seen it gets arbitrarily wiped by anonymus admins. How can I find out what happened, who deleted my stuff and why they did so? How can I avoid this happeing to my posts in the future?
