The word "acknowledged" seems to have been dropped from the title.

Real power doesn't exchange hands at the ballot box. And to think it does is the most laughable a notion. But much investment goes into conditioning (a nicer word than brainwashing) people to subscribe to it.

Some contrarians take this too far and use the framing "Democracy is a lie". But the reality is, it's not necessarily a lie, but rather, it's just largely inconsequential when the brokenness exists at a higher level (the modern nation state itself, its establishment, and both their interconnections with inter and extra national powers). In that reality, the voting process is not a tool for the masses, but rather a tool to distract and contain them.

Consulting people, via voting or any other method, is still desirable of course, but only after that brokenness is taken care of.

LLM's and stylometry are not magic.
i write using different styles constantly.
And It's not like people are writing original long essays here all the time, for the weapons grade tools to assay anything with high confidence.

The best way to get full access to fediverse data (including e.g. voting) is to run your own instance. So what instances, do we think, are operated by bad actors, irrespective of their identity or nature❓🤔

Or to get more conspiratorial, a bad actor would need one or more big instances to collect that info without sticking out. So which big instances, do we think, would be willing to give, or sell, a "bad actor" full access❓😉
(This of course assumes that none of the big instances were created by bad actors).

In any case, if you're posting overton wrongthink™, and not doing it (pseudo-)anonymously, then you're doing it wrong. I mean, you're in a network/platform that goes as far as encouraging you to use multiple accounts, so what's stopping you from doing it right?!

Hello.

I just noticed in one of my Firefox profiles that Mozilla auto-disabled the "Bypass Paywalls" extension after removing it from their end, which apparently happened a while ago.

I don't think I ever even used this extension, which is why I didn't catch this earlier. But now that it's banned, I definitely want it around 😉

The upstream repository also got DMCA'd. The repository of a presumably alternative (or cleaned) extension is also gone, although I found some GitHub mirrors of it (how ironic).

So, is there a maintained extension upstream I should know about?
