Has anybody got any tips or tricks for weaning a resistant 27 month old? I’ve got him down to 1 or 2 feeds a day but I’m finding those hard to drop.

My son is a comfort nurser and some recent setbacks of illnesses, starting nursery etc, seem to have made it harder for him. :(

All the time! I studied Latin and Classical History for years so it’s a deep interest of mine. I often reminisce about the trip I took to Italy with my Latin class to visit Pompeii and Herculaneum.

I’m listening now and enjoying it! I feel like these would be a great soundtrack for an indie game :)

I challenged myself one night to record myself improvising on my piano, after a few glasses of wine. I ended up lost in some kind of trance pouring my heart out into the keys. I’ve never been quite able to recreate it again.

I still enjoy listening to it from time to time, it’s a shame I had let a friend borrow my studio mic and just had my phone to record with at the time. Although perhaps the grainy phone recording quality is what adds to the timbre of it.

I captured this little snippet of multitasking as a nursing mama, it makes me smile looking back at it. I was running late for something important and I was super stressed out as my little one was crying for me, so I plopped him up next to the sink so I could carry on getting ready. I caught sight of us in the mirror and laughed at how peaceful he now looked juxtaposed to my anxious expression. It calmed me down and I’ll treasure this picture forever. Sometimes nursing works the other way around and comforts us instead. :)

Yes, I did spill toothpaste on his head shortly after. It’s a work in progress… 😂

I was really conflicted whether to flag this as NSFW, as personally I don’t think there’s anything wrong with seeing a woman nursing their child in public, but I also didn’t want anybody getting questionable looks if a boob is on their screen while browsing at work. So I opted for NSFW in the end. I would love to know your thoughts on this in the comments. :)

ETA: I’ve unflagged this as NSFW after hearing some thoughts from other users and also opening Reddit for the first time in forever to refresh myself on how the breastfeeding community handled it over there.

This is amazing, thank you!

On the contrary I think pics will help to normalise breastfeeding and show that it’s simply a baby feeding, it’s natural and not anything else to be ogled at. I previously used r/breastfeeding and they had plenty of pics, though I suspect good moderation was needed to keep that successful :)

A place for those who are breastfeeding (and those who aren’t but would like to learn more, all are welcome!)

A place to swap stories, pics, tips, ask questions and find support for this beautiful, but often challenging, journey that mamas around the world embark on.

It’s my understanding that the attack compromised an already active, authenticated session, which would get around 2FA.

Nice one - fantastic to see all the releases and how the app is progressing :)

Hi there. Thanks for making wefwef (soon to be Voyager!), I am loving it so far and you’ve done so well in such a short time.

I’ve got a feature request that I think would improve usability:

Currently, if I’m browsing all via Hot, and then find an interesting community and visit there and sort by Top (All Time), when I’m ready to go back to all, it keeps that Top (All Time) sort enabled and I lose my place and the post I was looking at. Sometimes I remember to reset it before I go back but not always. Often I end up having to scroll way back to the top to begin again looking at recent Hot posts as the order has changed and it’s kept me scrolled X amount through the post timeline.

I think it would be great if the sort option didn’t persist and instead reverted back to what you had selected when you were at that point originally.

Thank you, Obscura :)

Bruh you still shed skin cells and oils, and bacteria that lives on your body will be multiplying like crazy all over your bed.

Worried for you if your autocorrect is ready to go with sharts. 😂

I keep trying to upload an image but I think lemmy.world is having a bit of a brain fart atm.

I’ll try linking it instead 😂

American McGee’s Alice and the much later sequel which is my favourite game of all time - Alice: Madness Returns.

The aesthetic, the puzzles, the sound design, the voice acting, the political statements underlying the narrative, Alice’s outfits, the collectibles hidden in obscure places, the different art styles for each world level. I just love it! I mean sure, the combat mechanics are not as complex as some games but they fit nicely into Alice in Wonderland lore and if you up the difficulty settings it can be more challenging.

I’m also really enjoying Inscryption at the moment. A puzzle/card game interweaved with an escape the room horror story.

Every week my same food shop is going up and up. All while companies gloat about record profits. Surely the average citizen has got to crack at some point soon and revolt.

Eat the rich!

I miss my son being this small - he was basically an immobile, hungry lil potato. There is no way I could game and feed these days, he’d be trying to join in and stealing the keyboard. RIP to my mythic ranking 😢
