Meanwhile, I think a lot of purified water tastes kind of bitter and metallic compared to my own tap water. I generally don't like purified water unless it's ice cold. I can taste the minerals in tap water of course but it's not unpleasant to me. It probably just depends on the area. I've noticed the tap water in some states tastes really bad by comparison to mine

Nah, manicured lawns can't coexist with healthy ecosystems. They're hugely wasteful in general. There are alternatives that are equally nice to run on like clover and many areas have their own soft ground cover that's native. The best thing about native plants is that they're almost always lower maintenance. It just doesn't make sense to keep wasting water and other resources on lawns imo.

I recently let my garden grow wild and it's crazy how many flowers came up on their own. Now I've got all kinds of little critters and birds I hardly ever see elsewhere. The only thing I pull are goat head weeds because fuck those things lmao

It's not even just an app full of kids or even dancing. If it ever was that was well before my time. I'm sure it still exists but it never makes it to me. It's full of young adults and millennials these days. Other than the outrage over the genocide by Isreal another current big drama going around is about NC rep Jeff Jackson because he got a huge following on TikTok and then voted to ban it. There's also a big thing about boycotting kellogs and we've been pretty active in discussing businesses that are stifling unions.
