Glad to see some great improvements. I always felt weird whenever schadenfreude posts were posted in this community and banning political posts are just the cream on top. Keep on going!

I fucking love Thrive. I just tried it out like a month ago. Respect to the devs, even though the progress is slow

Seems like a linkedin post to me

Agreed. I did make an upgrade as a test with my modpack and it seemed to work, but tbf it was on a clean world.

Your comprehensive descriptions are amazing! Lemmy shows time and time again that we have a good community here.

It seems you might have visited Salzburg some times coming from your restaurant recommendation. Have you tried out other foodie places, like other restaurants or bakeries perhaps, that might worth to spend some cash on? Also do you have favorite restaurants used by locals in Vienna?

Thanks for the comprehensive infos? And what are your thoughts about Linz more deeply, since Reddit's mainly are against visiting Linz apparently due to it's industrial hub layout

Ahh sorry, I had a Mandela effect about the eurail trip planner showing a train route in this path. Well I prefer to remain around the train path so I might skip these local towns.

My interest are generally historic places, little bit of nature, some urban environments and authentic local food that represents the culture and history of said city/country. I visit to absorb the country's culture and not for leisure since that can be done in any country.

I might stop at Vienna, since my first visited city would be Salzburg.

Hello fellow austrians!

I have an upcoming 6 day trip starting from May 27th and I want to choose a town somewhere on this train line, preferably in the middle because the train trip is quite far away from my hometown (Hungary).

Is there any town that's worth a short 1 night visit?

Context: I would be a first time solo traveller and I will only stay for 1 night, since I had some huge arguments with my parents about my original 9-11 day trip (they think the outside world is too dangerous for solo travelling), so I have to seriously compromise in terms of days that I can spend abroad. It was a pleasure to be disproven. I want to see more like this ^^

Do note that generally speaking an AMD gpu on Linux vs Windows similarly. You can maybe expect a 1-2 FPS downgrades on average but it really depends on the game.

On the other hand, NVIDIA gpus have a bit more FPS disadvantage but it's still not a major drawback I think? Idk how much is the fps difference

My friend of a friend is thinking on buying a Fairphone, but he've heard that apparently their support is kinda bad.

What is your opinion on this? Is it true?

My current backpack's zipline finally gave up it's service after almost 5 years of usage, and I'm looking for a new one. I haven't ever used a premium backpack per say, but after some searching I have found some good looking candidates for a daily commuter / shorter travelling backpack.

  • Thule Paramount 24L
  • Thule Paramount 27L
  • Fjällräven Räven 28
  • Fjällräven High Coast Foldsack 24

What are your experiences with Thule and Fjällräven backpacks? My backpack surely needs to be atleast 24L, because on my commuting days the backpack is filled up with a laptop, mice, headphones, and a gym bag (clothing + shoes)

I want to include some neocities/nekoweb style of feel a bit with my websites, where these icons are basically present in every site over there.

Apparently buttons and links are used for linking another personal wbsites, but what's different about these? Are these just synonyms? And what about blinkies and stamp?

I was thinking on buying a 2-4 bay HDD powered enclosure as a NAS for my mini pc, since I already have that, and buying or building a full-fledged diy NAS seems a bit expensive.

I want to hear some opinions from you guys, since it seems using this method is a mixed area from the selfhosted pros. I would be hoping that by using a powered enclosure, that would alleviate or solve the USB port overcharging issue, which have appeared in my mini pc when trying out an external HDD with a normal sata to usb converter.

Did you have any experiences with a setup like this one?

I'm not a german fellow, but I have a netizen friend who feels incredibly anxious and wasn't able to get friends in school, due to immense bullyings. They only have friends from the internet, and they have tried to socialize in a fishbowl event but they weren't able to get a friend there as I feel it.

In my country there is an event organization called havervagy, which has a bunch of events, where everyone is spliited into 3-4 people sized groups where they can get to know eachother. Do you perhaps have something similar to this one in Germany? My friend lives in West Germany, closer to the border of Netherlands.

I'm thinking on buying into Kagi, but I still find the cost of service too high for my liking. Can we expect Kagi doing Black Friday deals?
