I'll probably be a bit late, but I think I'll be able to join just in time for the spin-off movie. Also, I hope you feel better soon.
Yes, but Lee Jae-Myung isn't exactly friendly towards feminist groups in SK (though it seems like some of his party members convinced him to maintain the Gender Equality policies, and to be tough in crimes related to sexual harassment of women). I guess a positive thing is that Lee Jae-Myung will probably have cordial relations with the goverments of the DPRK and China.
South Korea: Lee Jae-myung officially took office as the country’s new president, following his victory in a snap election triggered by the impeachment of former President Yoon Suk-yeo. President Lee Jae-myung nominated Kim Min-seok, a veteran lawmaker from the Democratic Party, as his candidate for Prime Minister.

: "Without me, Trump would have lost the election... How ungrateful,"
It's going to be a Schwarzenegger/Musk ticket.
Liberals and Conservatives think these are magic words. Remember when redditors would spam Chinese users with a copypasta bc they genuinely thought the police would arrest these Chinese users if they saw the copypasta.
'Time to drop the bomb': Elon Musk claims Trump named in Epstein Files - Business Standard
Article
In a dramatic escalation of their ongoing feud, Elon Musk has in his latest public attack claimed that US President Donald Trump “is in the Epstein files” and that’s “the real reason” they have not been released in his latest public attack.
“Time to drop the really big bomb,” Musk posted on X. “@realDonaldTrump is in the Epstein files. That is the real reason they have not been made public. Have a nice day, DJT!”
For the unversed, Jeffrey Epstein was a millionaire known for associating with celebrities, politicians, billionaires and academic stars. He was initially arrested in Palm Beach, Florida, in 2005 after he was accused of paying a 14-year-old girl for sex. Dozens of other underage girls described similar sexual abuse.
Meanwhile, the US President has threatened to cut billions of dollars in federal contracts and tax subsidies for Elon Musk’s companies. In a post on Truth Social, he wrote, "The easiest way to save money in our Budget, Billions and Billions of Dollars, is to terminate Elon’s Governmental Subsidies and Contracts. I was always surprised that Biden didn’t do it!"
In another post, he wrote, "Elon was “wearing thin,” I asked him to leave, I took away his EV Mandate that forced everyone to buy Electric Cars that nobody else wanted (that he knew for months I was going to do!), and he just went CRAZY!"
Trump, Musk air dirty laundary in public
Earlier in the day, Trump said that he’s unsure whether their “good relationship” will continue, following disagreements over a key tax bill and electric vehicle (EV) mandates.
"I'm very disappointed with Elon. I've helped him a lot," Trump said. “He knew the inner workings of the bill better than anybody sitting here. He had no problem with it—until he found out we’re going to cut the EV mandate.”
The remarks come days after Musk vocally opposed Trump’s flagship tax legislation — dubbed the “Big Beautiful Bill” — urging lawmakers via social media to reject what he described as a “megabill” that would increase the national deficit and place a heavy debt burden on Americans.
In response, Elon Musk claimed that Trump would have lost the 2024 election “without me”. The Tesla chief also accused Trump of showing “such ingratitude”.
I would say that the main failure was that the Pink Tide governments (at least the first wave) relied too much on the US and in the end the US did everything possible to sabotage even the liberal governments of Latin America (I guess we have people like Hillary Clinton, Condoleezza Rice and John Bolton, plus Bush, Obama, Trump and Biden to thank for that), and that led to the death of Unasur.
The second failure was the fact that some parties did not purge their ranks of opportunists and wreckers and that ended up leading to betrayals and the death of those parties. The failure of the second pink wave (Argentina, Chile, Peru, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia and Guatemala) is that the socdems simply did nothing besides the basics and continue the unpopular neoliberal agenda that already existed in the country (You could argue that Argentina was pressured by the IMF and US to pay its debt, that covid screwed Bolivia, and that the far right congress is pressuring Brazil, Colombia and Guatemala but idk, they control the executive and could have done more, but I guess no one wants to end up like Pedro Castillo).
Morena in Mexico was very smart (doing what the people really wanted) and has control of the Executive, Legislative and now the Judiciary, the Pro-Establishment Center-Left party basically dissolved so Morena has no competition on the left. The PSUV in Venezuela kicked out all the anti-Chavistas from the liberal and conservative parties (that are allied to the government) and the Communist Party of Venezuela (and its satellite parties). The Sandinistas in Nicaragua actually had an agreement with the US to let the US train the Nicaraguan Armed Forces and use their bases, and also to maintain relations with Taiwan, until Biden out of fucking nowhere decided to attack Nicaragua, so the Sandinistas stopped pretending to be a liberal democracy and kicked the right-wingers out of there.
I guess one good thing with the failure of these social democratic governments is that the radical left gains more influence as the far right governments that get elected become really unpopular as they can't fix anything that really matters. But my problem with this is that such far right governments will not want to lose power, and unlike the social democrats, will take extreme measures to make sure they never lose power, be it a coup d'etat (as was the case in Peru and Brazil) or electoral fraud (case of Ecuador).
Musk goes nuclear: "Without me, Trump would have lost the election" - Axios
Article
Elon Musk declared all-out war on President Trump Thursday, writing on X: "Without me, Trump would have lost the election, Dems would control the House and the Republicans would be 51-49 in the Senate."
"Such ingratitude," Musk added.
Why it matters: The public breakup between Trump and Musk — a key adviser who spent nearly $300 million to support the president's campaign and Republicans in 2024 — has escalated dramatically.
At the heart of the feud is Trump's signature "One, Big, Beautiful Bill," a massive tax-and-spending package projected to add trillions to national debt over the next 10 years.
After Musk launched a digital campaign to "Kill the Bill" on Wednesday, Trump suggested to reporters that the Tesla CEO was angry about the legislation rolling back electric vehicle tax credits.
What they're saying: "Whatever. Keep the EV/solar incentive cuts in the bill, even though no oil & gas subsidies are touched (very unfair!!), but ditch the MOUNTAIN of DISGUSTING PORK in the bill," Musk wrote on X.
As Trump was openly discussing their tense relationship during a meeting with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz in the Oval Office, Musk dug up old tweets of the president railing against deficit spending and increases to the debt limit. "Where is this guy today?" Musk asked.
Musk also denied Trump's claim that he "knew the inner workings of the bill better than anybody," writing: "False, this bill was never shown to me even once and was passed in the dead of night so fast that almost no one in Congress could even read it!"
Between the lines: Democrats and liberal pundits have long speculated that the relationship between Trump and Musk — two huge personalities with strong personal views — would end in disaster.
But for six months, there was barely any daylight: As recently as last week, Trump honored Musk in the Oval Office and praised him as a "friend" who did excellent work on DOGE.
Now, with Musk having exited the administration, the relationship is collapsing — spectacularly — in full public view.
