Tradition, mainly. It's so ingrained in the majority of cultures that you can't simply uproot it with a law. Although it should be a more controlled substance, no doubt about that. It's addictive, debilitating, incredibly harmful and it simply destroys more lives than literally any drug known to man.

While it's normal to do this (outside of obvious one-upmanship) I think what makes it autistic is the crushing awareness of the pattern and the realization of how wrong the reaction to such an innocuous thing can be if interpreted incorrectly. Some sort of paranoia of being misunderstood.

Most of these hit close to home, except that I'm obsessively punctual, check my messages even when there are no new notifications and my file system is a work of art that I can spend hours organizing. But that goddamn chair though...

Would've been newsworthy if it wasn't the case

Let me paraphrase: Gen Z refuse to take any bullshit from deluded boomers.

Not to mention charisma and sick sense of style.

I think absolutely yes. I'd give up a lot to move to Finland or some shit just because the weather there sounds like haven to me. I live in the Middle East and it's not as much the heat that kills me (it's "only" a factor for about a third of a year and it sucks too of course) its the goddamn dust storms, I'm so sensitive to these things. I still have no idea why some people like living in deserts under a scorching Sun, with all the sand and dust in the air, it's dreadful, not to mention the nature is super boring without proper fields, forests and rivers and stuff.
