He's just a snake oil salesman looking to cause a problem to sell the solution. Just the usual conman shit, but at a national level.

Maybe keep your shitty politics out of your shitty product next time, and then you won't face political consequences.

My 50 year old "dumb" doorbell doesn't need to be recharged. More proof that "smart" technology isn't actually smarter and isn't actually making our lives easier.

It has to be this fucking stupid, because the weapon of choice against democracy is idiocracy.

I know what you are saying, but consider for a second that the shit we are experiencing today ultimately stems from tribalism. Tribalism existed full well in hunter gatherer societies. In some ways better (no nukes). In other ways, far, far more brutal.

For very thin veneers, very sharp shaves or block planes with months or years of practice or specialized machinery are probably the way to go to minimize waste.

A table saw with a thin kerf blade is probably the most practical approach, if you don't have months to dedicate to this project. I remember someone doing something similar for a guitar build at a local maker space.

Canada-U.S. relation

This is such a disengenuous way of saying "Trump's attempts at trying to destroy a perfectly healthy and functioning relationship". The rest of us Canadians and Americans continue to have good relations.

Is it built by Tesla, Meta, Boeing, or some other American corp?

Nope, nope, nope.

Tried a couple matter devices. Ended up having to create an account with the manufacturer. Was there truly a local option? Who knows. So far I haven't been impressed.
