Liberals: Nice try tankie, but all of our leaders and popularised heroes commit genocide, so it can't be criticism smuglord

This sweet plan seems to include a lot of being approved for masses of credit and hoping you can pay off your un-write-offable loans (there are an upsetting number of ways debts can't be written off). But if anyone can go bankrupt and fuck over their debtees, please do.

I've not played the game. I assume the issue is that gay people do in fact, exist in a game?

The whole point of having a romantic relationship is to slowly and tactfully let them realise on their own how surrounded by western propaganda they are.

Why? What did you guys think the point of intimacy was? Love or children or something?

Literally anybody who can afford rent, can by definition afford to BOTH maintain a home AND keep a fucking leech solvent.

If you insist on being a lib and keeping money like that, just make some very simple social programs for amortising heavy up-front maintenance costs and simplifying house ownership, and landlords become redundant even within capitalism.

There is no justification - Landlords do not do work, they are parasites.

downbear Defederating with blahaj was the right move, but I don't think federating with them and at least trying was the wrong move either. Our short federated time meant we got a lot of users make accounts here, and I think a lot of users who stayed are now hyper-aware of their troubling internal politics (one of the top comments in the 'Hexbear defederated' thread is 'I'm concerned about 196'). If we never make efforts to outreach and talk with troubling libs, then we are doing absolutely nothing but preaching to ourselves.

Finding libs on which to directly dunk is the closest posting comes to praxis.

Just the existence of 196 on that site makes it awful. Why did they see fit to host a bunch of transphobic, nationalist edgelords? Comments I've seen from there make me think their own userbase is unsure about staying.

The mod team on blahaj are absolutely atrocious. Other than Ada, who seems to actually engage in good faith and tries to foster at least some level understanding, their mods respond to our mods wanting to talk by leaking DMs and general bad-faith attitude. When Ada requested that direct DMs from our mods not be shared, there was some shitty scribbling and effective refusal to comply, and now also this modlog?

Everyone's a lib, that's fine. But the blahaj mods are just actively playing troublemaker at this point and don't seem interested in any kind of actual good faith interaction. They never have seemed it.

The numbers of deaths includes 'births that could possibly have happened'. So logically as every new generation would've been born, Stalin's kill count doubles, truly the death count of gommunism is literally infinity

It's frustrating, I agree. But "shitposting leftie site interacts with some other echo chambers for a week and has some non-constructive disagreements" is not really a datum from which to draw any wider conclusions.

Personally, I've seen at least five users on separate occasions ask questions in good faith and concede points. If anything I've been surprised by some of the positive responses to our community, rather than being 100% rebuffed from the get-go.

There's certainly an attitude of "we should be able to federate with large leftist communities and then spout false right-wing talking points without being challenged >:("

Though slightly cliche, this just feels right. That niece has learned a great lesson about how collaborating to improve things is always possible, and that open-source relies on everyone doing their bit.
