That wiki entry literally says that it was designed to help during childbirth…

“for symphysiotomy and excision of diseased bone, respectively.”

Follow the link for symphysiotomy and it says “Symphysiotomy is a surgical procedure in which the cartilage of the pubic symphysis is divided to widen the pelvis allowing childbirth when there is a mechanical problem (obstructed labour).”

This is quite common in patent infringement cases and isn’t something granted to Apple because they’re Apple.

This happened at a company I used to work and that only had ~$10M turnover.

Run 2 miles/day to receive a bonus of 130% my salary? That seems insanely good value and this is coming from someone who has run about a total of 2 miles since I left school.

Get the train to work and park just over a mile away, run to catch the train and go to work. After work run back to your car. Instant 130% salary increase

But the 2 12” pizzas have more crust, so it depends what you prefer.

I’m wholly in the pizza centre and fuck the crust camp. But for those who like the crust…

Well I get in, plug in my phone and put on my belt. That’s maybe 15 seconds. Then I turn the key and wait for the glow* plugs to warm up, so that’s another 5-10 seconds.

They still have 9.5% commission(or this drops to 8.5% if you pay $1000 artisan fee!), compared to Etsy which works out to be around 11-12% on most of the items I sell.

It also doesn’t link with my inventory management software. Etsy does, eBay does, Woocommerce does, Facebook does. It also doesn’t integrate with my shipping software, so I need to manually generate labels.

The benefits seem very minimal for a lot of caveats. If you have 1 or 2 products then fine, but when you have 10’s or 100’s of products, the time to list these on a site that will have a lot less traffic is way too long. I have a 2% gain in my profit margin, but a tonne more hassle.

Most countries also have these taxes as well as income tax. I believe the question was was is the percentage of the population paying income tax so low?

The title is a bit clickbaity. He wasn’t stopped from boarding, he had to go through additional security checks. He claims he was told he had to go through the checks because his name was Mohammad… although that’s just him saying that.

I live in UK and I’d say around 50% of the flights I’ve taken to/from US I’ve been pulled aside for extra checks. Many times both on the way out and way back for a 100% check rate on that single trip.

If they did actually say it was due to his name being Mohammad then yeah that’s really bad, but this sounds like they’re making something of nothing. And at no point was he stopped from boarding.
