for what is essentially uncharted territory.

Neoliberalism has been very well explored for the last 45 years and has failed. It is a dead ideeology that needs to be assigned to the dustbin of history as a terribly shit idea.

Even if we know the truth and scream it from the rooftops, it does nothing. They’ve polluted the truth so much it’s become too much of a burden for many to want to deal with.

If you havent, you should watch an Adam Curtis documentary called "The Power Of Nightmares"

It has diverted traffic and money away from sites such as Twitter, FB and Amazon after TT videos called them out and offered alternatives or avoiding completely/anticonsumerism perspectives.

That's them being an elitist prick, full of English exceptionalism.

You could look through their previous comments and probably find that they invariably wear the badge of "political moderate" but their world view based around their superiority seeps through eventually.

I'm not in the US so that's your first fuck up.

Secondly, the misused 'they're' was me not proofreading autocorrect too closely while I was on the train this morning.

You are an insufferable elitst bore.

There appears to be a lack of "centrist", non-political, or right-wing voices (and I don't mean extreme MAGA-type views, but rather more moderate conservative positions).

TBF, they don't exist.

They're might be some that on appearance hold reasonable views that are considered centrist /moderate conservative but if their privilege is questioned or their fragile egos get scuffed, they always and invariably go full on far right.

Their moderate views are just a veneer that are held to appear as such and never stand up to pressure.

I always find not travelling to regions known for sex tourism then being caught in a hotel room with 11 & 12 year old children really helps to maintain my reputation of not being a paedophile.

But you do you.

To me it seems like Gaza had no intention to get rid of Hamas though at the same time bombing is unnecessary.

There hasn't been elections for 16 or 17 iirc so how can Palestinians "get rid of" Hamas?

Hamas was supported & funded by Netanyahus likud party specifically because it drove a wedge between those in Gaza and in the West Bank. Classic divide and conquer technique.

As for what Israel can do? They can get rid of the genocidal crook that's running their government and his two murderous far right henchmen and grasp that he had concocted this situation for several reasons:

To divert attention away from his corruption and fraud indictments

To quell the protests that have been going on for months against him because of the corruption and legislation he has passed to curtail the supreme courts ability to hold the executive to account.

To level Gaza, ethnically cleanse it & genocide the Palestinian people so he can get to the natural gas and oil reserves there.

Yes, there's a lot Israel can do and it needs to be quick about it.

But they'll gleefully spout bullshit propaganda about 40 beheaded babies without the slightest bit of checking the veracity

Not reverse it but reapply for membership, that will of course be subject to veto!

It will come with a lot of prerequisites that will make the deal the UK previously had look like they had won a golden ticket

Has anyone said to use uBlock Origin instead yet?

Also, add in SponsorBlock. It's an extension that skips embedded adverts within the content but it's community driven so if it's not been submitted, it won't know about it. (Hint: get involved!)

Another is that no matter how far I zoom in, it still remains on the smallest font.

I'll be out cycling and it's a PITA to have to dig out my glasses just to read a pissy small street name to know where tf I am!

Just found & joined Lemmy and so want to add to it by starting a community on a favourite (time & money consuming!) hobby: modular synthesis.

This is my current system although I'm currently building a Befaco Hexmix, Robaux LL8 and a Sonic Potions Penrose quantizer.

I have a new case arriving next month that's portable so once we can go outside and congregate again, I'm going to look at playing some shows (if I actually have any music and haven't just disappeared down a noise rabbit hole!)

2 years on and the system looks like this:

Another case by Case From Lake and plenty of modules that I managed to acquire through luck such as the ACL Sinfonion for £750!

I'll have to go through my ModularGrid page to update my racks there and post them
