What did we expect? Government is looking out for itself or anyone big enough to pay for a seat at the table.

Republicans appear to be driven by hate and ignorance of the things they do

Democrats appear to do nothing for the people either.

We have lost faith in the courts ability to stand up for the rule of law. Sure we protest. Yell at our elected officials but at the end of the day it seems like we keep picking the worst thing and diving head first.

I know I'm projecting a bit here but it's so exhausting to keep up and it wears us out

Sure keep voting for what you want and what not. Doesn't help with it's red vs blue and both sides are a shit sandwich and the only choice for sides are bigotry or compliances.

It's helpful for me. It's just a raw stream of thoughts and ideas. Most don't go anywhere but it's a good first stop to get an idea out of my head. Even if it turns out to be stupid I can read it later and react accordingly.

It's interesting. Normally I just go with the flow of the game but this is the first time I've used the steam notes feature. At first it was little bits of information. Then it got a bit deranged as things went on. I won't spoil anything but it's weird and I find it interesting in spite of the fact that I hate puzzle games. Like really hate.

I actually really like the look of it. It's so ugly.

Also paint. I hate seeing paint chips on my car. I know I can wrap but that's an extra expense to eat.

I just can't see myself buying a new Tesla due to the damage Elon has caused. It's a shame because my current Tesla is a wonderful car, in my opinion.

I wonder if people don't want the truck because of its design or the association with Elon more.

I used Netflix on my TV but after the password sharing and other issues I choose to block network access.

Most of my Internet is done on my computer.

So glad I blocked my TVs access to the Internet at the router level. Never complainrd about not setting up a network if the network doesn't work.

Find the little things that are easy to fix. Recently I had two sections of my laminated flooring that started to peel. I got some low profile transaction strips and set them up. Worked out that the area to repair the actual divide between my living room and dining room so it looks like it was supposed to be there.

It's nice. I paired it with a solar generator so my electricity usage is way down. Sure it takes longer but half the time I forget to put clothes into the dryer when I had two units for several hours.

It's washes then moves tona drying mode. This is one of those all in one units. I wonder if the amount of towels I add is causing this.

Spicy release notes. Not for the faint of heart.

I'm petty and absolutely used this among other reasons to move away from home as far as I could. So much happier knowing I'm too far away to be bothered. It still sucks when I go home and get the same requests.

I've been floating the idea of moving to Linux for a while. I actually have it installed on a spare drive so I can setup dual boot if I wanted.

I chose to go with Mint but have been running into some issues getting programs to run correctly but the big issue I have is getting steam VR to run. I like to play beat saber for fun and after setup it wasn't connecting to my headset. That's kind of a deal breaker for me. What are some suggestions to get it running correctly

Hello. I've been a window user from win95. I'd like to learn more about Linux but don't know where to start. I had a brief intro when I was in highschool and recently I've been seeing more and more talk here on Lemmy. Mostly memes.

With how bad Google is finding good information unless I add -reddit to my search. Which I won't do. Trying to stay away from that.

What can I expect to find as a casual observer? Why does Linux do that's "better" than Windows? That's not meant to inflame anyone. More so what do you personally like better.
