Seems to me that they are merging the eugenics wars and wwiii together in canon. Maybe the eugenics wars are the catalyst for wwiii or something like that?

It was a hand-wavy reason to explain how they got across the border, but then they had to do it the other way too. I’m pretty sure bribing two different border officers the day after an incident of international terrorism is not that easy. I don’t care how good Kirk is at chess, you can’t raise the kinds of funds needed to do that by betting on games for an afternoon

Also, how did they get a fancy hotel room? Even if you’re paying in cash you need a credit card to secure the room (and ID)

According to the devs they’ve submitted a version 1 release candidate to the app store, so they’re just waiting on approvals

Barring anything substantial changing we’ll have kings for at least the next 70 years (George will be about 80 by then)

We also had one while Canada was being set up, so like all the treaties we signed were between her majesty and the various indigenous groups. So a lot of historical stuff is queen this and queen that, and then combine that with the past 70 years of queening and you get a very significant proportion of Canada’s history being queenly

Ever heard of the phrase “when in Rome do as the Romans do”?

I’m sure you wouldn’t like it if people came to your country and did things that were seen as incredibly rude but said “oh it’s ok, in my country it’s fine”

Duplicating the key removes some accountability. With this set up you can revoke access to only one person, while leaving the access in place for everyone else. If you had a single lock with six copies then a bad actor getting a copy means you’d have to replace everyone else’s keys

This also means one person can’t take their lock off and replace it with another, and therefore lock out everyone else
