I'd love to get a good Junji Ito adaptation someday but at this point I'm beginning to thing the guy is cursed.
Man, why do all the anime streaming sites have to be so terrible?
The part of your workday that you’re most likely to die during is your commute, especially if you drive, which is not covered by DoL or OSHA.
FWIW this is because of DoL and OSHA making sure that once you get to work they have to keep you reasonably safe. This was not always the case in the past.
So far it's been the following:
- Bang Brave Bang Bravern - Big gay robots. Hilarious show.
- Skip and Loafer - Succeeds more than any anime I've seen at making the characters feel like people.
- Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken - Fun story about making anime.
- Vivy -Fluorite Eye's Song- - The only "robots rebel against humanity" anime I've ever liked.
- ODDTAXI - An excellent story about a guy who gets wrapped up in some shady dealings he'd rather avoid.
There's been some other great stuff too of course but I wouldn't say that anything else I've seen that's been released since 2020 has been ~~overrated~~ underrated.
As for worst it's gonna be hard to beat The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel - Northern War and Ex-Arm.
I use apps that aren't available in my region for language study, so this could end up being a real problem for me.
Normally horror manga doesn't translate super well to anime. There have even been some unfortunate instances of this with Junji Ito's work in the past. The art in this trailer looks really good though, so I've got some hope that this'll actually do the manga justice.
My favorites have been :
- Bang Brave Bang Bravern - Big dumb gay robots
- Mobile Fighter G Gundam - Big dumb straight robots
- Redline - Just some fun racing action. Some of the best animation I've ever seen.
- Wotakoi - Love story between nerdy office workers
- Legend of the Galactic Heroes - The best space opera
- One Punch Man - depressed superhero
Every friend I still keep in contact with is someone I met in college, so this makes a lot of sense to me.
You want hardware manufacturers to provide shitty screens in perpetuity just so Linux devs can avoid implementing proper scaling? Yeah, no.
Share the source next time. It's just common decency.
This really sucks; it's not good for the human body to be in microgravity for that long.
Now that you mention it, I'm not sure whether to call Bravern a romance either. Romance is kind of the focus, but it kind of isn't. Either way it's one of the greatest things I've ever seen.
