Not only more readable than A and B but I would argue it's also easier to remember who did what a few sentences or paragraphs earlier since Alice and Bob invoke slightly less generic mental images than A and B. For example one is a woman and the other one is a man, maybe even some person or character you know.

And now that I'm thinking about it, the different gender also makes it easier to keep track of who does what because different pronouns are used (at least in English and many other languages).

I don't think it's rude or disrespectful to not want to see posts you don't understand.

In theory there is an option in the settings where you can select languages (if you are using an app and can't find it there, look with a browser). The thing is that (as I understand it) this language filter only works if a language is selected for a post. Since the language selection when creating a post is not implemented in all apps and many people don't care, many posts are not tagged with a language and they will slip through the filter. You could deselect "Undefined" and only keep "English" but then you will probably miss a lot of English posts as well.

Die Bezeichnung "Dialogpost" find ich immer wieder unterhaltsam. Da findet ja nicht wirklich ein Dialog statt. Ich muss immer an dieses Meme denken, bei dem der besoffene Mann die Frau zulabert und die so aussieht als würde sie der Situation gerne entkommen, aber nicht weiß wie. Hinterher erzählt ~~die Marketingabteilung~~ der Mann wahrscheinlich von seinem gelungenen Annäherungsversuch, der aber einfach nur creepy und unangenehm ist.

Mir ist eine Antwort in Erinnerung geblieben, bei der psychotherapeutischen Beratungsstelle meines Studierendenwerks damals auf die Frage gegeben wurde, wer kommen kann/sollte: Wenn man mit dem Gedanken spielt, hinzugehen, dann ist man eine der Personen, die hingehen sollte.

Diese Beratungsstellen sind genau dazu da – einen aus diesem tiefsten Loch zu holen und zu helfen, einen Plan für die weitere Zukunft zu entwickeln. Bei mir hatte es sich damals um Glück mit ein paar Terminen. Aber wenn die Termine, die man da in Anspruch nehmen kann, nicht reichen, haben die ziemlich sicher auch Tipps und Ressourcen, wie man am besten weitere Unterstützung bekommt.

Ich verstehe die Prokrastination, habe auch sehr lange gebraucht, bis es hinbekommen habe, da anzurufen. Aber meine Empfehlung ist: Mach es!

Ja, meine Eltern haben sich tatsächlich auch immer sehr weiß verhalten, das macht es natürlich viel einfacher. Ihnen verdanke ich mein eigenes weißes Verhalten zu großen Teilen.
