I don't think that's sensationalist at all. It's a pretty direct and clear call for impeachment.

But I'd rather talk about that original Tweet. Obviously, Trump being impeached (and convicted by the Senate) would result in Vance replacing him; that's how it works. But the choice to specifically highlight the Vance part of it implies not just a desire for Trump to be gone, but for Vance specifically to be in. Which is wild. I can't imagine any human on earth actually being pro-Vance. There's the sane people, who oppose the entire administration, and there's the Magats who are rabidly pro-Trump. Who exactly supports Trump's diet lacky?

I asked elsewhere, but this is probably a better place for it.

Wait, Piefed migration doesn’t just work from Piefed to Piefed, but even from Lemmy into Piefed?

And yet the BBC makes no mention in this article about Israel's "genocide", no mention of their "apartheid", and the only result my ctrl-f for "crime" (aiming to detect "war crimes") was one of the promotional links to a different article where they invited "both sides" to argue in a debate, as though it's two equal sides.

This is the last entry for nearly 2 weeks. If you're reading from your own copy of the novel (physical or digital), this is midway through chapter 6, because the chapter is arranged wildly out of chronological order.

For those who already know the story, this starts a fairly interesting sequence of events that actually might have more of an impact read in real-time like this, since reading it as presented comes across almost comical rather than horrific.

CHAPTER VI

Dr. Seward's Diary.

5 June.---The case of Renfield grows more interesting the more I get to understand the man. He has certain qualities very largely developed; selfishness, secrecy, and purpose. I wish I could get at what is the object of the latter. He seems to have some settled scheme of his own, but what it is I do not yet know. His redeeming quality is a love of animals, though, indeed, he has such curious turns in it that I sometimes imagine he is only abnormally cruel. His pets are of odd sorts. Just now his hobby is catching flies. He has at present such a quantity that I have had myself to expostulate. To my astonishment, he did not break out into a fury, as I expected, but took the matter in simple seriousness. He thought for a moment, and then said: "May I have three days? I shall clear them away." Of course, I said that would do. I must watch him.

But it’s a really common one

That may be the problem. If the site detects you coming from an address with a history of other users abusing it, they may have implemented protections against it.

Yeah I was exaggerating for effect. I wouldn't actually call for banning them even in the city. Congestion charges to strongly discourage it, sure, along with pedestrianising large parts and designing for cyclists first with cars only as "guests" in other parts, but not an outright ban.

Il utilise l’image d’une valise qui s’ouvre par le milieu et révèle deux compartiments

Ah, merci ! J'ai su qu'il l'a invente, mais pas pourquoi. Ah, thanks! I knew that he invented it, but not why.

Anyway, separate from copyright, there's a decent chance that the voice thing could become illegal/tortious on the basis of personality rights. But to my knowledge you're right, there haven't any serious court cases into the matter yet. The Johannson case had/has the potential to be a landmark in this area, but I can't find any information about its status; whether they settled out of court or are still going.

Which seems totally reasonable when new technology is involved in a death

When cars were a new technology that resulted in deaths, the response was kicking people out of their own streets and giving over the space exclusively to the death machines.

Title taken from a post on the official Age of Empires Facebook account.

With the host instance, lemm.ee shutting down, and a relative lack of interest from other users outside myself, I've decided to shutter this community rather than attempt to migrate it to another instance.

I'm still debating where to share Age of Mythology–related news and discussion in the future. As of now I lean towards !rts@reddthat.com, but I'm also considering creating (the as-of-now non-existent) !ageofempires@lemmy.zip, a place that could be more specific than RTS as a whole genre, but broader in appeal than Age of Mythology alone.

Feedback encouraged.

Artificer: Thanks, designed "Ol Buzzy" myself!

Fighter: Mind if I give her a go?

Artificer: Sure, but you need any pointers?

Fighter: Naaaaaw, I can figure it out.

Artificer: *To the DM* CAN he figure it out?

DM: *To fighter* ...roll me a wisdom check.

Fighter: *Nat 1*

DM, Artificer, and Fighter in unison: Hoo boy.
