Which brand do you use? Not a single Verbatim has ever failed me, neither DVD nor Blu-ray. I also use a full-size burner with 12V SATA-USB adapter, not those stupid "slim" ones.
If I wanted to watch movies destroyed by compression, I'd go streaming. Blu-ray allows for way less compression. There's a reason Blu-ray remuxes aren't DVD-sized. Heck, some movies don't even fit on a single layer Blu-ray! Do you want to compress that to 4.7 GB? And that's only main title, without extras!
OPUS files
Ah yes, a man of culture
And you have to edit almost all of the pictures afterwards since neither DSLRs nor mirrorless cameras have automated post-processing that smartphones have. I'd love to upgrade my small Fujifilm X-T100 with GCam algorithms and I'd F-KING KILL for pairing it with DxO DeepPRIME denoising algorithm. Heck, these two would be fine additions to my Galaxy Note 9! No wonder @CherenkovBlue@iusearchlinux.fyi uses Pixel 6, it's perfect for a quick snap in good light.
Like if I didn't have any mess in my bookmarks as well...
Apart from that, a tab open means a task to do. I can bookmark an interesting tab only if I've "been there" already, e.g. if I've already read an article cover to cover.
My boss traded in a pixel 1
He probably didn't realize having Pixel 1 means unlimited lifetime Google Photos backup in original quality... I bought a 50-60$ used one just for that purpose.
Samsung's official service center refused to not wipe the phone after a screen replacement, because "procedures". Paying extra wasn't even an option! So I said "fuck them" and took my Note 9 to an independent repairman who did it at half the official price because he could separate broken glass from a working screen and replace just the former. I simply turned the phone off and trusted Samsung Secure Startup encryption before handing it over to the guy. That was the moment I thanked myself for turning on full-disk encryption.
Android should automatically clean these up afaik
NOOOOOOOOOO! DO NOT. EVEN. SUGGEST. THAT.
I've got hundreds of tabs opened, if Android cleaned them automatically it'd be like burning my own Library of Alexandria.
At least OF came to their senses and that's why they're still thriving.
Do electric mopeds and motorcycles count?
Doesn't matter that much for Blu-rays since they're non-organic anyway. It mattered more for DVDs since they use organic dyes, but I couldn't find any M-Disc DVDs in Poland.
